We all know how the world gets easily distructed and awaits big sporting events. People focus and drop "almost" everything they do to follow the "Ball" adopt a religion which is called sport and eagerly flock the masses in an arena. In this time no doubt it is the World cup fever. The ultimate sacrificial denial would be be to be denied of the watching there respective team from competing.

I know a slave whose former Mistress made him stand in the corner for the entire Super Bowl. He had to serve her refreshments during half time.  In my opinion that was downright evil. THAT'S WHY I LOVE IT![:D]

LadyPact -> RE: Goddess: Ball Religion: sport temple: Arena. (6/20/2010 7:47:03 AM)

I was beating somebody during the last Superbowl.  Usually, I really do like football, but you've got to have priorities.

LadyCimarron -> RE: Goddess: Ball Religion: sport temple: Arena. (6/20/2010 8:36:12 AM)

Now I am imagining subs all over the country standing in the corner next super bowl, cursing my name.

[:D] I think I have caused enough destruction.......my work here is done.[:D]

You might as well do it with the Denver Broncos.  Pretty much a fair bet that the corner is the closest to the SB as they'll get.  [:'(]

i noticed most responses are about gridiron football and that is pretty much restricted to the American continent. But we all know here the whole world is focused right now and unfortunately for some of us living on the other side of the world we have many sleepless nights following proceedings of the worlds most exciting game and internationally called "football". i was in the unfortunate state of having to be very apologetic to a Lady that was meant to escort on a BDSM night that She asked me to take Her for our first meeting after online communication.i felt so uncomfortable and had to write a very explanatory message of "why" i was unavailable. The reason was that i have been waiting for years for my team to compete at this level and the last time we did was the past decade. my team are always underdogs but we are very passionate of our football in the Mediterranean region. Thank the Goddess She did excuse me and i made up for it the next week having sleepless nights work and escorting Her the week later...

World's most popular game?  Yes.  World's most exciting game?  Not so much.

There's a reason "football" (aka "soccer") is not popular in the United States.  We like sports where they actually score every now and then.  But as a cure for insomnia, football/soccer has no equal.  [:D]

IronBear -> RE: Goddess: Ball Religion: sport temple: Arena. (6/20/2010 10:00:17 PM)

Hell yeah, Australia follows Soccer, but we are passionate about our Australian Rules football and our Rugby Union and very passionate about Rugby League. There are also a couple of million oif us who are extremely passionate about American Football. For me I'll watch Soccer if the Aussies are playing for the cup provided the Italians don't deliberately foul us and we cop the blame again. Sorry soccer fans, it just is not my cup of tea but best of luck to you it is I understand a skilful sport. Y'see we love watching a good punch up as we have in the last State of Origin Rugby League where Queensland won for the record 5th year in a row and placed NSW where they belong in 2nd place.

BentUnit -> RE: Goddess: Ball Religion: sport temple: Arena. (6/20/2010 10:27:47 PM)

Yay that Maroons.

Bring back the Biff!

Went to see a fight and a game of Rugby League broke out.

petpete -> RE: Goddess: Ball Religion: sport temple: Arena. (6/20/2010 11:36:00 PM)

Funny you guys saying that as its New Zealand who are wearing the glasses to the world champions and have shown to be the biggest surprise so far on the tournament!! For a virtually unknown team they are showing great spirit and are putting up a great fight against much better at least on ranking teams that have come from a predominant soccer orientated countries. They deserve a big bonus and have certainly made there country proud and mark on the football map. i am waiting in anticipation how my beloved greek team will face the super power of the latino football world.... We need a positive result to clinch the second spot on our group....[&o]

Hawkwindblues -> RE: Goddess: Ball Religion: sport temple: Arena. (6/21/2010 12:37:53 AM)

Petpete,

M and i are totally into Soccer, we are even in an online group, where we bet the results for the Weltmeisterschaft together with some friends.

I have never understood why the us americans prefer football, because for me the player look funny in their playing costumes, but to every nation the sport they love. Here in Europe all countries are Fußball (Soccer) crazy and the Weltmeisterschaft is wonderful time. If you wander during the a play through Berlin, the streets are totally empty and on the boulevards, if the weather allows it, pubs have big tv screens standing where the people are gathering and watch.

petpete -> RE: Goddess: Ball Religion: sport temple: Arena. (6/21/2010 2:08:28 AM)

Hawk... i know exactly what you mean!! In Greece it is the main sport and i can tell you very much the same picture is painted in that country. The main focus is the World Cup to the extent that many men neglect even there spouses on this season for the round Goddess. Here in Australia despite the uncivil hours we have to view the competition we still team up and watch the game with friends relatives and so fourth!! Personally i have set the couch as my bed for the whole period that the competition. Sleep deprivation and methods to keep awake have been on our agenda.. Any suggestions ???
