Never said she returned Alaska to a pristine evniroment. or forced the sound to actually be cleaned up. Never said anything like that. Once the oil hits the beach or sinks, it can't be cleaned up. Thats why the delay in skimming is so critical. And thats why the use of dispersants was criminal.

Earlier in this tangled thread someone made the most pertinent observation---BP was lying about the severity of the spill and about their capacity for handling it from the first hour---Obama's error was trusting a multinational corporate giant to have some knowledge about to handle their own stupid error.

Always funny to watch dawg when he thinks he has a point. Fact: Obama declined offers of foreign assistance immediately after the accident. Reasons why that dawg is valiantly ignoring. 1) BP initially claimed no oil was leaking and then that no more than 1000 barrels a day was lealing. 2) BP was required to have an emergency response plan able to handle the worst case scenario. 3) BP was the party hiring skimmers not the federal government. They were certainly free to hire those foreign skimmers out of their pocket. 4) The ODS sufferers would have gone into apoplexy over him "surrendering US sovereignity" to foreign government. 5) The ODS sufferers would have found a US skimmer somehwere that was idle and then make an enormous stink about how Obama sent US jobs overseas.

Sounds to me like Sarah Palin ought to be held liable for the whole mess. Her negligence in failing to fulfil her patriotic duty in this instance, and disclose to the government and its agencies the correct methodologies to employ to prevent this mess is patently clear and must attract substantial remedial as well as punitive damages. However I propose her liability be limited to $75million, given her friends think this an appropriate sum and it be assumed she feels likewise. E

actually the article that Mnot posted showed that it was 3 days after the explosion (not immediately) that dutch skimmers (state of the art and better than any in America) were refused. For the reason that they put a tiny bit of oil in the water as they operate. The Dutch offered to send the help as aid. there was no hiring involved. Christ, Obama can't even deal with BP, and he is supposed to deal with Iran and N Korea? But it is funny that you are copying us and calling it Obama Derangement Syndrome. Dems are just followers, they can't even make up their own quips.
