~Fast Reply~ Our release proceedure is very simple. "Val, I'm leaving you because of X, Y and Z. I'm going downtown to file for divorce this afternoon." And hopefully we can divide our assets evenly without having to spend thousands and thousands in divorce court. As for collars, Valyraen and I don't hold with the idea that collars have to lock or anything like that. Not that there is anything wrong with that, we just don't think it's required and for us a lock or buckle is extremely undesirable for everyday wear. So, following the line of thinking that any ring is a wedding ring if you deem it to be one, Valyraen selected a lovely necklace and presented it to me as my collar. So your collar can come from any jewelry shop or source as long as you both agree on it. [:)] As for picking it out, I'd say he picked out my everyday collar and I selected my "formal" collar, a piece I fell in love with and he allows me to swap out with my everyday collar when I feel the occasion is more formal. Of course, this is all really going to come down to what people are comfortable with in their relationship. And that can change. It doesn't need to be set in stone.
