Ok I am hoping this is put in the right spot...I have never started a thread. But right now something is playing on my head and I just need to rant. I live in Staten Island, and right now my neighborhood is crawling with cops and news reporters. Last night a man who was in his car with his wife and dog was picking up chinese food at the corner of my house and because he was driving too slow another man followed him into the parking lot and opened fire on him, shot 7 bullets into the car, shooting the man (who was a retired triborough cop,56 ) killing him, shooting the dog.............hours later they found the man who did this too him.................he was a retired cop (46). So road rage is the topic of this thread, I happen to be one of these people who will curse someone who cuts me off, and not think twice about it, until this story at least, its pretty scarey when cause your driving too slow, someone can take it upon themselves to kill you for it.

I hate cars and driving, but I'm a very good driver. I'm not into road rage, I'm into road degradation.

Yes it is very sad............and to me whats even sadder is you have a man who is supposed to help people in a time of need...........a police officer who can open fire on a family because he drove too slow. come on now who made him god?

I think you have merely discovered the petty tyranny of men with state issued badges. Road rage was a bigger concern to me in Los Angeles, but now that I live in TweakerTown, CA I just drive the speed limit and console myself with the MP3 player. I just know that someday I will be sideswiped by some speeded up motherfucker in some POS car with no insurance. Because, you know, picking at your face in the mirror is a reason to speed and weave in traffic like a maniac while going from point A to point B... Sigh...

Have am ex SF mate who was so annoyed at bad drivers, He used not to shoot drivers on the LA Freeway, but load the .44 magnum with steel jackered royunds and place two rounds into the engine of their cars resulting in a cracked engine block .... he ended up with a fifty dollar fine. Must admitt I'm tempted to do something similar with two local drivers who drive slowly about at night with radios on full blast (defying anti-hoonong laws), and which the local law refuses to lift a finger cause the "boys" are sons of serving police officers.. Moral is: Shoot Cars Not People
