Of course I don't but if I were to comment on it I would qualify it with "some". It may have been clear to you but obviously not to others. We can't read your mind you need to help us out. Clumsily written and you were called on it.

And explained. And being called out again because someone didnt like the explanation. Gesh!

Moreover tazzy, you're assuming that sexuality is like a light switch, on or off. In actuality it's more like a dimmer switch. So there is a spectrum. There are gay males who are extremely feminine naturally, not acting this way. And lesbians who are extremely masculine naturally, not acting. You may object to their authentic selves but that is your problem. Just as it would be their problem if they objected to your authentic self.

Now, a slight hijack. I spent the weekend in The Pines, a mainly gay beach community and my 17 year old and his friend came along. In past years they were perceived as children and no one tried to come on to them.  This time was different. It was an invaluable experience for teaching heterosexual males not to objectify females. Nothing like them being on the beach with a beach ball, asking a passerby to take their picture and being told sure if first they got naked to club some sense into them.

And which is their authentic self when you see both sides?

I meant what i said as a joke. seems so many here are touchy enough to have missed that part. but, whatever. Though my boss does have a fabulous crystal collection!

The perennial problem with the text based medium, no body language, no tonal inflection, no way to tell sarcasm or irony or humor vs serious. Which of course, is why emoticons are so useful.

tazzygirl -> RE: Gay? Whatever, Dude (6/7/2010 2:52:24 PM)

Surprisingly enough, Jefff didnt use them either.

I used no more or less "emoticons" than he did.

Someone jumped on the bandwagon to start shit with me without knowing what was going on.

I laughed that off with a partial explanation.

And its still coming.

Im sure you girls have something better to do than worry about a joke i made about the gay men i work with.

IF you didnt get the joke, its not my fault.

But, it sure seems none of you WANTED to get the joke.
