How do you pretend to know anything about politics when you have never heard of Helen Thomas?

More to the point, how do you post a thread without having the intellectual curiosity to do a quick search to find some information on the person you are posting about?





A figure of speech.
I should have used those pesky "quotation marks."
In Boston/Irish if someone fucks up especially in politics it's, "well he's famous now!"
"Well she's "famous" now!"
See how quotation marks change a sentance? Oh, ...you don't do you?

If you follow journalism and politics even slightly, its common knowledge, why so many's knee jerk reactions is to shield this is beyond me.

Status: offline 		Yes Owner, because telling Jews to get out of Israel and go home to Germany and Poland isn't race baiting at all. Not to mention the Israel bashing and US/Obama Admin. berating she gave Robert Gibbs that puts here "sincere" apology in question. She has a long history of being anti-Jew and anti Israel.

Isn`t this outrage (and frustration) also available to Arabs or any other peoples pushed to the margins?

So she is a Christian Lebanese, most likely of Greek or Armenian Orthodox decent, especially with a given name like Helen.

But in the end, what does it matter? Her quote was taken out of context and unfortunately, she will be remembered for misspeaking rather than all her contributions to American political journalism.
