*Jumos on the VC is Cute bandwagon.*

Hell I'd vounteer as staff.. but I doubt they'd have me due ot newness, but that newness also leads to a naturally unbiased view of all the users.

Termyn8or -> RE: To Collar Me Staff: An Observation (5/30/2010 6:43:37 AM)

I see pages now so I had to jump through.

If anyone thinks they have a good idea to improve the code, simply load it into like IE 6, and view source. Drop it into a web editor, or if you're good enough hand edit it, and then send it on back.

Persoanlly I don't think it's worth the trouble. My car needs a radio and a tire. Guess what I am looking for : hint; it's not a radio.

I don't think there's anything wrong with making siggestions, even out here in the forum where you can get others' opinions about it. But don't expect quick action. First of all it's not broken. In need of tweaking, OK fine. But remember you can take it on a ten day trial, and if you don't like what you see, you can bring it on back in a while, and get your money back guarantee.

Now what I suggest is for someone to tell me who the hell did tht song for the next time I go on P2P.

Again, folks, I think most are missing the point. Moderators are not the only volunteers that are needed. However, yet again, that's all I see offers of. As I said, NOONE anymore starts out as a moderator. It is my opinion(and only mine) that if they are willing to do the dreary chores, they will stay after modship. Plus, we need someone to do those non fun items!!!! I do them every day, and even the mod job aint all its cracked up to be funwise at times, as my mods would tell you(if they weren't skeered of me!! [;)]Actually, there is a very diverse base of mods, and I cannot say how proud I am of how they work and interact together, as different as they are from each other.

To Lady Pact: Thank you for your comments on self evaluation, most (including myself) do not like to look at the parts of ourselves that we feel are lacking. I won't say I agree with you about your shortcomings since you stated them, but you know yourself far better than I do.

This thread is turning rather constructive. Would it be possible for CM to post a list of volunteer possibilities they have or need to be filled to manage this site more effectively??? Even within a volunteer system there has to be organization and checks and balances to keep order.

Maybe even a entirely new thread or even department like maybe: CM Volunteer Opportunities, Yes this is another suggestion but this one needs to be fully worked through the organic process of consideration before it is properly submitted - which sometimes forums can do. And quite frankly while I may have made the suggested it - I DO NOT THINK it will be my place to formally suggest it since I am neither a Moderator or someone higher up.

I am exceedingly extremely high up and I think it is totally your place to formally or informally, depending on what you are wearing to suggest wonderful ideas that you have!

OMG!! YES! I really wish the journals were set up better, and honestly, just a nice link up at the top of the page would be brilliant!

If someone cannot find the big old button that says "Read Journals" right in the middle of the page on the short profile, then I doubt they could find my... uhhhh... buttons.

I don't mind scrolling down on the first page, but it's pretty annoying on the following pages.

I agree.

I do not often read journal entries, but when I do, it frustrates me that after reading the first few lines I have to click next page, scroll down the entire profile again to end up with yet another measly few lines of journal entries to read, and next and next and next, repeated and repeated. As I am an apathetic person, I usually rather quickly give up on such low yield activity.

Edited to add: Ah, I see that Cali is right: There already is a View Journal button. Well then CM already has the requested feature, not so?

xxblushesxx -> RE: To Collar Me Staff: An Observation (5/30/2010 1:02:14 PM)

Yeah, I've been doing the scroll down go to the next page...scroll down go to the next page thing...I guess I'm one of those dumb ones huh? *g*

You and me. [;)]

reynardfox -> RE: To Collar Me Staff: An Observation (5/30/2010 1:52:33 PM)

The CM people do a bloody good job, I wish they ran any of the banks I've dealt with. They are effiicient, courteous, and fair.
If people are not scrolling through your stuff maybe that's because you'r not that interesting?
