I'm more a blackberry pie gal although I would never turn down blueberry. But apple blech. I like apples as they were intended to be eaten. Crispy, crunchy and with juice dripping down my chin.

I absolutely adore blueberry pie. Blackberry pie too. It's a toss-up which of them is my favorite. I also like blueberry buckle (coffee cake). It was one of my favorite summer treats growing up. If it's got blueberries or blackberries in it, chances are good I'll like it.

I love all sorts of pie...well not pumpkin,,,and PA is right, bumbelberry pie is good, so is rhubarb!! and now I have a craving for pie and have none....thanks a lot otter!!![:o]

You are welcome Arpig...my pie preference leans more to the coconut cream pie type...mmmmm...but I rarely eat pie as I save my calories for any pasta dish I can get my paws on...ha ha!

There is a local restaurant and bakery that specializes in ollalieberry pies and preserves. The fruit is a combination of sweet and tart and is one of my all time favorites. "What is an Olallieberry? The Olallieberry is the primary fruit we grow on our farm and for which we are quite well-known. It was first developed in 1949 by the U. S. Department of Agriculture at Oregon State University by crossing a Loganberry with a Youngberry. The result was called the Olallie, a Native American word meaning blackberry. Physically the Olallieberry looks like a classic blackberry. Genetically, however, the Olallieberry is approximately two-thirds blackberry and one-third European Red Raspberry.
