GreedyTop -> RE: Pet peeve: Inaccurate "Actively seeking" (5/27/2010 8:09:03 AM)

you are an evil wench.  *legs snap shut*

Farabor -> RE: Pet peeve: Inaccurate "Actively seeking" (5/27/2010 10:44:23 AM)

*chuckle*  I entitled the post "pet peeve" for a reason.   To all those with constructive advice, thank you.   I indeed have been to local munches,  community centers, etc. on and off over the years.  I'm actually signed up (Though haven't gotten the details yet, so not sure if I'll get to go), to a specifically female dominant, male submissive dinner/meetup thing this weekend.

To all those responding with sarcasm, vitriol,  negativity, etc....One of the lessons I've learned in my..sheesh, 19 years or so online right now is to not allow random people on the internet to impact me negatively.  Enjoy your time!

Arpig -> RE: Pet peeve: Inaccurate "Actively seeking" (5/27/2010 12:39:01 PM)

Your time is not all that valuable....you have as much as anybody else.

DaddysInkedSlut -> RE: Pet peeve: Inaccurate "Actively seeking" (5/27/2010 12:40:43 PM)

OP Question for you. If you are so big on not letting random people affect you negatively, why whine about how peoples profiles waste YOUR time? Lol In essense arent you allowing others to impact you in a negative way?

Farabor -> RE: Pet peeve: Inaccurate "Actively seeking" (5/27/2010 1:05:26 PM)

To DaddysInkedSlut...you are absolutely correct.  I was letting random stupid things online impact me/irk me....mostly due to the fact that I was in a difficult/bad mood from other reasons.  Posting it to this board was my way of letting go of the feelings.   Seeing the random ultra negative feedback thrown at me actually has cheered me up quite a bit...reminds me nostalgically of my old days on usenet.'

As for Arpig....time is the one irreplaceable resource  Everyone only gets so much...and part of my reason for this peeve wasn't just that its wasting my time, it's also likely to waste the people who have those profiles (By getting them responses they're not looking for/interested in).

Jeffff -> RE: Pet peeve: Inaccurate "Actively seeking" (5/27/2010 1:56:56 PM)

Time is a concept I no longer have time for.

OP We can't control what others do in life or on this site. We can only control ourselves, how we react. I will also say that time is a very prescious thing and some could easily say by you whining you waisted not only your own time but theirs (if they read your OP) Lol We all have our moments though. Good luck to you, remember block, report, and delete are your friends!!!!

peppermint -> RE: Pet peeve: Inaccurate "Actively seeking" (5/27/2010 3:16:23 PM)

I'm so very sorry.  This is the internet.  You can not expect billions of people to conform to life as you see it.  They do it their own way.  They are not doing it their own way to piss you off.  Get over it.

Farabor -> RE: Pet peeve: Inaccurate "Actively seeking" (5/27/2010 3:47:59 PM)

*chuckle*  Thank you all for cheering me up.  Especially all the negativity.   I'm so glad you folks find it so offensive for me to post a pet peeve that you feel the need to, as the previous poster said,  make me conform to your way of life.
