Ok, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is on tv...and as a kid I was fascinated by the part where they locked the kids up in cages. What totally innocent shows gave your impressionable young mind some inspiration?

Even younger...A Canadian children's show called The Friendly Giant. The FG lived in a castle. He was very masculine, and his voice was low but soft, and his two co-stars were fairly submissive.
