popeye1250 -> Marsha, Marsha, Marsha! (5/13/2010 5:44:23 PM)

Howie Carr on WRKO 680-am Boston has been playing a blurb from Martha ("Marsha") Coakley all afternoon where the Mass. Atty Gen. says; "Technically, it's not illegal to be illegal in Massachusetts."
So,.....in Watertown, a Boston suburb this very morn the Mass State Police, the Watertown Police and ICE Immigration Agents arrested two Pakistani Nationals suspected of supplying the "alleged" Times Square bomber with money for,......."Immigration violations."
"Marsha, Marsha, Marsha."

Well, as I've said before, I have no idea who Howie Carr is or why I should care what he has to say.

The only thing I know is he seems to be your idol.

It would be helpful though to provide a link.

Howard Louis "Howie" Carr, Jr. (born January 17, 1952) is an American journalist, author, and conservative radio talk-show host based in Boston with a listening audience rooted in New England.

In other words, a wannabe Rush Limbaugh and Glen Beck.

I think he's Popeye's not-so-secret lover.

So, I really shouldn't care what he has to say.

Probably holding them on illegal immigrant status temporarily while they gather the info needed to bring more serious charges of aiding and abetting a terrorist act in Times Square.

I should think you would understand that, popeye.

servantforuse -> RE: Marsha, Marsha, Marsha! (5/14/2010 7:32:11 AM)

Maybe you should all listen more carefully to what he has to say. Turn your radio dial away from PBS. You might even learn something.

Jeffff -> RE: Marsha, Marsha, Marsha! (5/14/2010 7:34:06 AM)

You seem very happy today!

servantforuse -> RE: Marsha, Marsha, Marsha! (5/14/2010 7:44:50 AM)

I'm happy everyday..

Yeah, Howie is funny as hell too and he takes a lot of calls from the listeners in all the New England states, N.Y. and Canada so you get a good sense of what people are thinking out in radioland.
Vincent, that is probably correct about an "immigration hold."
It's just very ironic though after "Marsha" saying last week that, "technically, it's not illegal to be illegal in Massachusetts" and then having the Mass State Police and Watertown Police assist in the bust! lol "Technically" "Marsha" is the head of the Mass State Police being the Atty. General and cheif law enforcement officer for the state of Massachusetts!
Illegal Aliens aren't a "conservative" or a "liberal" issue they're a "law enforcement" issue.
Tune into Howie at three o'clock today <wrko 680>

No, all you get is an idea of is what the people who listen to that show think.  You have to diversify your listening to get an actual idea of what the people as a whole may be thinking.

Ok, so Howie's show has been the number *one* radio show in all of New England for about a decade now and those people's opinions don't count?

P.S., I guess I could watch MSNBC, in the 25-54 age group you know how many viewers they have? Care to take a guess?
"73,000"
That's how many people who listen to Howie Carr on Rt. 128 northbound at 4:00 on a monday afternoon.

Is Howie syndicated?

Well never mind.

I already get to listen to assholes like Limbaugh, Beck, Hannity, and O'Reilly.

I haven't learned anything yet.

I don't think one more asshole is going to change things.

flcouple2009 -> RE: Marsha, Marsha, Marsha! (5/14/2010 2:24:19 PM)

Your so funny especially for an illegal alien.

Did I say anywhere their opinion didn't matter?  All you have there are the opinions of the listener's of one show, not the masses.  What about the people who are listening to music or not to the radio at all.  Do their opinions not count?

How impressive.

But I still have no idea who Howie is or why I should care how many people listen to him on Rt. 128 northbound at 4:00 on a Monday afternoon.

Or how many people listen to him on Rt. 128 southbound at 4:00 on a Tuesday afternoon.

I might be more interested if you choose a different road though.
