While I understand that she won, and probably should have won, I don't understand the resistance she chose to cause. If all they asked for were her ID - in my state, I have been ticketed before for leaving my purse at home - failure to produce my license when asked, when that is the only thing I was ticketed for. I have been approached before when stopped on the side of the highway - the officer was doing his job and concerned for my safety and when he found I was fine, that was that. i want to live in a free society, too, but why try and cause yourzelf problems? I believe in civil disobedience, and she is the only one who can decide what laws are so wrong in her mind as to be worth it, but I fail to see how please produce proof that you are driving safely is up there with please go to the back of the bus.
