Status: offline 		Of course, the sheer size of Greece's black economy, and the pervasiveness of blatant tax fraud (yeah, sure all those doctors have huge villas and Benzes and pools and yachts and domestic help and expensive foreign vacations on 15K Euros a year), ahs absolutely nothing to do with the debt crisis. No, it must be the pensions poor older people get that is bankrupting the country.

I started this thread as a question asking IF what is happening in Greece,
could happen in the UK, or other countries in Europe.
I am NOT an expert as to WHY Greece is in the trouble it's in,
all I know is Greece is in trouble.

When taxes start rapidly going up, and people begin
to see benefits reduced or cut, their quality of living going down, and are
feeling the "pain", many will begin to complain, protest and take to the streets.

That is human nature, and that is nothing new.
