Hello, It seems like it would be something easy to find yet for some reason Master and I have been searching for the right collar for me without much luck! I use to wear a collar that became green with time, then there was another one that came apart...so we seek something of good, durable quality but not the steel heavy ones as Master would like it to be a collar that people in the lifestyle can know what it is yet I can also wear 24/7 in public. I keep googling it and searching every where but I either find the stainless steel heavy ones or leather dog collar types. I know you are looking for a collar... but what about some type of choker necklace/jewelry? They are made to be worn on an ongoing basis and they come in all kinds of different styles and materials. There are a lot that are made to look fetishy that might fall into the criteria you are looking for. Just a thought...

I favor Vad Farkas, or an eternity collar and cuffs. They're solid metal, and they screw on with an allen wrench so they stay on 24/7, and they look and feel lovely. Vad Farkas will get you something custom made to your specs in a jiffy, for a very reasonable price.

The exceptions have been for medical procedures, such as x-rays and other tests. We even go through a little ritual when taking one off to put on another to make sure she always has something around her neck. We know it's silly - but it's what we do and have decided is important for us. Styles, shapes, material of the collar take on many forms. They range from hard thick steel with a locking hasp to diamond encrusted gold. Which collar she wears depends on the occasions, style, social setting, and of course - my whim. When I see something I like we add it to the collection. There is one in particular that she wears most often; a simple silver 'infinity' chain with a small silver heart. It's her 'every day' collar and important to us since it was the first she wore representing our relationship. Look around, shop, get something you can afford and like, neutral enough in style and form, to wear in as many different venues as possible; comfortable enough to wear constantly, durable enough to wear constantly. That she wears one is important. Which one she wears isn't. Have FUN making the choice. Make it meaningful when you do. Wear it with pride. Good luck!

I do a double take at any woman wearing more than just a necklace; most especially something with a little width and of a choker style - and I wonder.... It means nothing to your average vanilla but plenty to those who relate. Is that not an attractive effect? Or is it something more cheesy, designed to shock and confront that you desire? Because I've seen plenty of young ones wearing overtly leather 'dog' collars with a demeanour that doesn't exude 'submissive' at all. Question to decide is, who really needs to know its meaning - those who relate or those who might disapprove? If it's really for you, then I'd suggest a combination subtle (broadish choker), personal (ie, he chooses and purchases etc) and perhaps something that requires investment to obtain, be it expensive or if you know someone with skills to craft something more than just jewellery. Step 1, decide who really needs to know.... Focus.

My subfiancee and I recently looked and found the perfect one at JT's Stockroom. http://www.stockroom.com/Locking-Steel-Wire-Slave-Collar-P1147.aspx It is made out of steel rope rather than solid steel, so it flexes and is light (the heavy collars would have caused her problems). It looks much better in real life than in the photos on their Web site. She is now wearing it 24/7 and can't take it off any more. One hint: DON'T buy any of the locks advertised with the collar. Fortunately, we bought it in the store, and found that none of their locks actually properly fit through the hole. Even the store staff wasn't able to fit it. Going to the store was a good idea in the first place. It was the only way we could see for ourselves whether the collar met our expectations (it exceeded it; I was afraid the wire would look too industrial but it has a jewelry-like quality to it). It also was the only way to find the perfect size. What we did instead was go to a piercing studio and have them thread a captive-bead ring through the hole. That fits perfectly, looks gorgeous, and is better than any lock. She can't remove it. I can't remove it (it takes a special tool that only piercing studios have). Yet in an emergency it is very easy to remove by destroying the ring (the collar will stay intact!) I've worn a Vad Farkas collar since August and have not had any strange looks. I have two school age kids and no one in their school has ever given me a second look. I like the weight of it around my neck and I like the way it looks on me. Before this one I wore a leather collar with an O ring. I didn't get second looks with that one either.

The collar Fox wears is a stainless steel bead-link collar with hemp macrame knotting around it. I hand tied the macrame, whcih took about a hour total. Not difficult, and he has been wearing this collar 24/7 for nearly 2 years now. It is not locking, so that in case of emergency he can remove it himself, or have it easily removed. I am paranoid when it comes to those sort of things. He gets quite a few compliments on it where he works, and has even had people ask him where he bought it because theyd like one like it. Carol was greatly worried about the suitability of a "day collar". I'll just toss in that other people are not nearly as aware of these things as you'd think. I ended up with an eternity collar. Fundamentally, a 3/8" steel hoop around her neck. Who knows what other people might've thought? But we have never had anyone comment on the collar. Overall, I think this fits into the general rule, "You're not as important to other people as you think you are." laughs.
