Hi,
I haven't been able to get into the CM chatrooms through the website, so I am trying to access them via an IRC program (as suggested in the 'Introductions' thread).

I run Kubuntu 9.10 and Xchat 2.8.6. I've tried both 'chat.collarme.com' and 'www.collarme.com' for the server, via port 6667 (as suggested in an old CM post regarding Xchat), but the program keeps timing out while trying to connect. Has anyone out there managed to make this work?

The server address is chat.collarme.com server port 1667 . If you have a password, put it in the box in tools where you would edit server info or add one...so go to chat.collarme.com and click to add server at bottom of server add box is a password area for one.

I use Mirc. Go to www.mirc.com

Thank you very much. I've managed to get it working after a fashion, but I think I'll keep looking for a new IRC program. I did have a look at MIRC, but it only runs on Windows.
Thanks again for your help.

If anyone else is trying to set this up, type "/server chat.collarme.com 1667" (without the " ") into the box. There seems to be no way to set this up through the preferences or settings.
