Actually - assuming my diagnosis is correct then notwithstanding any initial error in the premise diagnosed, Real may be quite correct in the basis of his assertions, even if some of those assertions as they are subsequently developed may be in error.

Humanity's achievements tend to be improvements on historical precedent. Therefore in this modern age, it's likely that a 'truly original idea' will be of far less use than a brilliant improvement on an unoriginal idea.
