Hero, pioneer and lady of grace. Not many like her around anymore. She`ll be missed. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dorothy_Height Not only lifted AfricanAmericans, but woman in general also.Voting rights, education access, civil rights and so much more.Rest in peace good lady. "Dorothy Irene Height, a pioneering voice of the civil rights movement whose activism stretched from the New Deal to the election of President Barack Obama, died Tuesday. She was 98. Height, who marched alongside Martin Luther King Jr. and led the National Council of Negro Women for 40 years, was known for her determination and grace — as well as her wry humor. She remained active and outspoken well into her 90s and often received rousing ovations at events around Washington, where she was easily recognizable in the bright, colorful hats she almost always wore. http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/article/ALeqM5g1wclP0PXt3NaBWLcwbFUjRs9bawD9F73F081 Some video http://www.cnn.com/video/data/2.0/video/us/2010/04/20/johns.dorothy.height.obit.cnn.html
