My brother does yard work for a living and he swears by the Echo weed whackers.

I was at Home Depot not too long ago and saw that they now have propane powered weed whackers. I didn't notice what brand they were. No more messing with gasoline. Just screw on a canister of propane and away you go.

Just clear the rocks and mow it........problem solved.

I paid good money for those rocks.  There are 2 rock gardens and decorative rock thru out.

I run the garden department at my local home depot and I''ll say hands down go with either an echo or stihl anything else won't last you worth a damn the quality of the motors of these two brands is what sets it apart from other competitors.

Perfect, does Echo or Stihl has a propane or gas power weedeater?  I have been thinking of getting one so we don't have to use the extension cord.

I also recommend an Echo; son of a bitch always fires up for me, and I got one that doesn't use the spool, you thread two pieces of line in and off to the races you go.

Shahar, it's gas powered, fyi.

I was out today.  I did a hack job on the yard.  Then I smelled smoke- and looked poof the thing caught fire.

So- I guess this unit is now trash.

I recommend you get a Mexican guy to do it for you. Lord knows they are everywhere!

Yo.  My weed wacker is finished.   What do you like?

The way my yard is- I have a manual push mower- but lots of trees and rocks. So- the wacker is what I use.

I got 3 years use out of a $30 gadget from Sears. I see that the octoganal string is better- worth the cost.

Anyhow- I am good for this week- but might replace the sucker.

Any ideas?

Yes.

I'm particularly fond of the type that's connected to a guy who runs around whacking weeds in my yard.

I seriously thought he was asking about a trimmer to do his personal manscaping.

We pay about $30 a week for lawn service and they do a beautiful job... trimming hedges, edging the lawn, taking care of trimmings and leaves.  We don't have to fuss with equipment ever.

And I've no idea what their nationality is.
