Watched the new movie, Kick Ass today. Enjoyed it a great deal, but was surprised at the number of kids that were in attendance. One of the stars of the movie is a teen girl, who swears and kills like she's auditioning for a Tarantino flick.

It made me wonder, if it were a boy in that role, would there be as much eyebrow raising, for lack of a better term? Roger Ebert slammed the film, basically stating that anyone that would enjoy it, was not the type of person he'd want to know.

I think it looks good, but I haven't seen it yet. Why is Ebert dissin' it? Cause the kid cusses? I'm sure she doesn't say anything worse than what I grew up listening to my parents saying.

I think he found the violence too much; it is extreme at times. But I enjoyed it, I'd give it a 7 out of 10.

Not a huge fan of violent movies but sometimes the story is tight enough to make it watchable. A movie called Kick Ass is not a movie I care about. I hear Date Night is hysterical though, I would see that.

Date Night has some funny parts, it's not a bad movie at all, hc. If you go, be sure and stay through the credits, they have some very funny outtakes.

I cant say Ive seen it just yet.Probally going to wait til I can record it on Tivo.

Cussing or not, given that today's movies are more prone to this sort of thing isnt really much of a surrise.

At teh age I was when PG 13 came out Im sure there were somethings then that were not exactly appropriate for people 13.

By today's standards given the rating of that movie, I'd have to venture and say some cussing is probally pretty tame.

Yeah, she takes the kids from Bad News Bears to a whole 'nother level.... uses the word "cunt".... and kills with glee. I think the killing is what has gotten some in an uproar.

saw Kickass this weekend, it's not halfbad. As for the matter of the young girl swearing and killing, yes it could have been less, but at least she had psychological motavation to do it. poor red mist... u

Yeah, the former McLovin's emo hair was something to see

But it looks like he'll be back, if the ending meant anything.
