Here is where you get mIRc:

Once you have it downloaded, open it by left clicking the icon on your desktop by using your left mouse button and clicking twice.
When that opens, you will see a box that says 'About mIRc' at the top of it. Click continue. The same box will look different then. Click continue again.
This will open up another box. This one asks for your Full Name,Email Address,Nick Name and Alternative Nick. For your full name,put in your nick (DO NOT USE YOUR REAL NAME). For your email address use your own or make one up. For your Nick Name and Alternative, use the Nick you normaly use on collarme. Click Ok.
Next you will see a blank white box. Type /server chat.collarme.com:6667. Hit enter.
Once connected, go to the top of the box and you will see Tools. Click on that. It will give you several options, the one you want is Channels List. Click on it. A box will pop up. Click on Get List ONLY. This is will bring up the collarme rooms.
IF for some reason your room is not there, type in the same box as you did the Server Command, /join #nameofroom ie /join #male-submission. Hit enter.
This takes you to the room you wish to visit.

The trial will expire sooner or later, but you'll be allowed to keep using mIRC. You just have to wait a bit each time you start it up, in order to hit the right buttons. As for how to get the room list, it's easier to just type /list in the command window.

If you click on the chatroom link, you should be able to get in. Click in the white box at the bottom, and type /ANSWER XXX where XXX is the number showing on the screen. If you cannot see the number, step back about 2 feet from your screen and you should be able to see it.

For months I have not been able to use mIRC. I just re-installed version 7.1. Following the above directions, when I type in /server chat.collarme.com:6667 I get a *** Server dos not recognize CAP command, then I am banned.

Right now, when I am logged into regular Collarme.com no list of rooms comes up when I go into Chatrooms, I cannot even send a message to my old friends via the java route. This is very frustrating, a big part of what I enjoy about CM is gone and has been so for many months.

I have an excellent XP machine. Can you help?

I click on "CHAT" and in a short time the chat rooms load. I certainly do not have to give all that information to get there.

Howdys.. ShySatyr, I once wrote out the instructions on how to get connected to the CM chatrooms for another that couldn't connect. Since I seem to have lost that e-mail.. I'm simply going to steal anothers writeup (kinda sorta). SimonD has one wrote up concisely on his profile. For any haveing problems getting to the chat area via Mirc, thats a great place to start. If after following those directions you are still haveing problems... feel free to drop me a note via CM-mail .
