Actually, they aren't very happy. i would say they're a couple that's together "for the kids" at this point - yes, i know the wife pretty well.

i agree with you about the "bigger fish to fry than chips in a ziploc" - just from the other side of things. [;)]

Have you at least gotten yourself a spice rack?

There will always be thyme for that later.

In my world, i would have picked up the bag exactly the way he sealed it and put it away in the pantry, and then given him a kiss.

The Man survived 40+ years storing leftover chips the way he wants - do i really need to point out that he's "doing it wrong?" Seriously, they're his chips anyway. [;)]

You should teach a class!

Actually witnessed this exchange at a party tonight....

*Husband picks up bowl of leftover chips, dumps chips into Ziploc bag and zips it closed*

Wife: "Not like THAT!!! They'll go stale!! You need to let the air out first!!"

*Wife unzips bag of chips, pushes out air, re-zips up bag*

Wife: "THERE!!!"

ill admit i get a bit smug inside when i hear that kinda thing.  yesterday in the supermarket - man and wife disagreeing vehemently on which bottle of wine to have.  in my experience men tend to like to choose the wine, its their thing, let them have it i say, but no, this woman just wouldnt let it go. in the end they were haggling over wine in the £5 quid bracket - plonk in other words - lifes too short!

personally i just cant hack that sort of petty crap going on and certainly not in public - it just makes me glad (and a bit smug sometimes) to know ill never be in a relationship where point scoring and belittling the others opinion is normal every day practice.

in true domi style i just wanted him to slap the bitch (metaphorically speaking anyway) and tell her to get over herself.  but you know that would have probably resulted in her sulking all day long, refusing any sort of sex for a week and making his life hell - which is probably why he backed down.  but then again, maybe the power is all hers anyway - but it looked more like a power struggle to me - meh! - and in the end neither were happy because, and im guessing here, it was yet another example of them not agreeing on petty crap.

It really says far too much about both of them that they would even bother arguing about such a petty thing, if indeed they were arguing. I've known quite a few people, in long term relationships, that their fun banter is often seen by others as negative squabbling. To assume, when not actually intimately aware of the specific relationship, is usually a mistake.

Gooood Morning Ward!

I slept fabulously, thank you for asking. I hope your Tempurpedic treated you equally well.

I hate to inform you that you have no chips. When I stopped at the grocery store, they were not a part of my purchases. We do however, have some delish apples, oranges, pears, strawberries, bananas, kiwi, spring mix greens, tomatoes annnnddddddd, drum roll, fresh asparagus and portabellas for the grill later. There is also a whole bunch of other stuff for cooking some yummy meals. The closest thing to a chip you are going to find is a box of Wheat Thins. A hand full of those eaten with a fresh, ripe, juicy pear is yummmmmm.
