I've always been a Tiger Woods fan.  I admire someone who has become a master of his profession.  I was saddened about the facts of his life that came to be known to the public, however, I consider that none of my business.  I have never been interested in the private lives of stars or celebrities.

I was horrified today when seeing the new Nike commercial.  It was done in terrible taste.  I know Nike is trying to rebuild Tiger's image and make it seem as if he is sorry for his transgressions....but enough is enough!!!!  Doing this as a commercial was the worst thing Nike and Tiger could have done.

I had retained my admiration for Tiger Woods, the golfer through all his marital problems.  I have now lost much of that admiration for him agreeing to do this commercial.

ha, that was funny in the most pathetic way possible. The man truly has no balls.

Here's the thing, no one outside of celeb land, or those that make a living peddling pc culture down our throats gives two shits about tiger woods dick, except for the haha you got in trouble, factor. South Park did a good job making light of the whole thing.

Anyway, no celebrity male under the age of 60 should marry. What the hell are you going to do when Miss Twin Universe Pageant rolls into town, or Playboy bunny of the year, gets you corned at a fund raiser after a few drinks. I mean, love is one thing when temptation is rational. I could only imagine, 100's of women everyday throwing themselves at me, and going, no I'm married, and even though I haven't seen my wife in weeks, I will resist having sex with you women that are far pretty, kinkier, and will do anything I say at the drop of a hat, even though my balls are large and blue, alas, I will go spank my meat.

But I just wouldn't get married in that situation... He's stupid for thinking himself a superman to resist such temptation in his twenties and thirties. His wife is quite crazy as well, for being shocked that a young man would have sex with throngs of beautiful women.

PLEEEAASSEEE, tiger, just stop.

The ad was reasonably well done, but yeah, personally, I'm more interested in seeing Tiger kick ass on the course. I imagine the ad was calculated to send a signal to other potential endorsers of Tiger, "hey, look, I'm still uber-marketable".

I don't care what kind of commercial he does (pussy). He better play well because I picked him as one of my eight lowest scores in a Master's Golf Pool.

I thought it was pathetic. I laughed. Just another ploy of a spoilt narcissist. Making money by pretending to be contrite.

The one I saw this morning, he was wearing the cap and had this really pathetic look on his face. Just him staring into the camera, like he was constipated or something, trying to look like a contrite child. With a voice over (who's voice I have no clue) scolding him.

It really was hysterical.

I liked the commercial. It would have been better if some how they could have green sreened Earl and maybe had him dressed up as a Vegas show girl..

This is the best thing that ever happened to golf aside from John Daly.

What was really sick was when Pain Stewart died...(Great bdsm name by the way) ......

HOUSTON - The skirl of a lone bagpipe playing the Scottish lament ''Going Home'' cut through ghostly fog in a chilling tribute to Payne Stewart before the start of the Tour Championship on Thursday.

With sullen faces and vacant eyes, Stewart's peers on the PGA Tour sat on white folding chairs on the first tee of Champions Golf Club to honor his memory at the tournament where he was to have played.

''He loved to laugh and he was not ashamed to cry. I'm not going to be ashamed of my tears this morning, and neither should you,'' Tom Lehman said. ''When he died on Monday, a big part of us died, too.''

Shrouded by an eerie fog, the bagpiper walked 100 yards toward the first tee playing a song about a Scotsman finally returning to his homeland.

''It was beautiful,'' Tim Herron said. ''The bagpipes drew you into Payne Stewart. When you think of bagpipes, you think of Payne.''

Which is it?...That when you think of bagpipes, you think of Payne or that when he died a big part of us died, too?

Quite frankly I hardly ever think of bag pipes and secondly I doubt that a big part of anyone aside form Payne and two or three of his friends even remember the year that he died.

But that is golf. Golf has portrayed those that walk her majestic fairways as being rather beyond approach.

Tiger will be just fine. Just cause you fucked a ton of women outside of your marriage doesn't mean that you are now a hooker. He should win the Masters he is the 9/2 favorite in Vegas.

I wish his caddy was some dude dressed up as the gimp.

camera should have pulled back just far enough to show the top of a blonde head, bobbing away
a glance down, a cheeky wink from the star, and FADE OUT

I make some fun of the red necks, the Nascar nation. But let me tell you something, they have got it down. They don't fuck around. They are never disappointed or duped by their heroes.

If you listen to country music you have to view Tiger Woods as some sort of a pussy.

Says jasper down at the fillin' station, "Sheeeeit! What do I think of Tiger Woods? That sum bitch is a dam four flushin' charlatan...A wannabe. My hero is George "No Show" Jones."

...."His stormy marriage to Tammy Wynette (1969-75) included duet albums of lovey-dovey songs and bitter recriminations. A solo success, "The Grand Tour," is a room-by-room account of what went wrong. His behavior (beating Wynette, shooting at friends, missing concerts) is largely attributable to his drinking.

By the late 70s, his drinking and cocaine addiction had made him so unreliable that he was known as "No Show Jones," although a song he recorded about it suggested he was proud of the name. When he did appear, he sometimes used Donald Duck's voice instead of his own.

In 1979 he received medical treatment, and, with support from the music industry, staged a significant comeback.

Further trouble ensued when he beat up another fiancée, but a divorcee, Nancy Sepulveda, tolerated his mistreatment and married him in 1983. Jones' behavior has improved in recent years, although, as he would have it, "If you're going to sing a country song, you've got to have lived it yourself."

Fuck Tiger Woods I am now a George Jones man. He is my hero. "beating Wynette, shooting at friends, missing concerts".....What a guy!!! And the fucker is still alive!!! God Bless George Jones....Yee Haw!

I find the voice over thing with his dad kind of creepy, and really stupid. I don't get it. I think it would be more effective if it was a woman's voice screaming the same thing, maybe add some kids crying in the background...
Doesn't matter, Nike owns him now. Lets see what other commercials they make him do

I've always thought Tiger was a good looking young man.  The balding head has taken much of that away so I agree with you, a cap is necessary.  However, in the commercial he looks ugly.  They must have worked make up magic to get him that bad looking.

I have a feeling this was NOT Tiger's idea.  Nike is calling the shots as one of his last sponsors.  Shame on a corporation that will make use of a family tragedy to sell golf products.

Perhaps...but if so, where are his balls? Using his dads voice is just creepy. Nike may have come up with the idea, but Tiger could have vetoed it.

I'm sure it sounded a lot better when they did the spin on it, selling the idea to him. Once he okayed the idea, he was stuck with it no matter how badly it came out.

If he signed a contract that allows Nike to call ALL the shots, then he is an idiot as well as a spoilt narcissist.

I resisted watching this commercial before, but decided to watch it. What diseased mind thought this ad would accomplish ANYTHING aside from scorn and derision?
