So, this is making clintons blowjob ok now, I guess the conservatives are coming to the center.

It never was about a blow job, it was about lying under oath...But you knew that.

Exactly!!  Dubya wasn't under oath when he lied about the WMDs so it's okay.

Do we really need to post the videos of all the Dems who said Saddam had WMD's again? Or list those who supported the war, and continued to fund it, even after the "lie" was exposed?

I mean it's been 8 years now, the issue is very tired.

You're right.  As tired as the issue of Clinton lying about getting a bj... even under oath.  When is that issue going to go away?

Do you notice how those that bring it up...are the first to decry any mention of Bush's actions during one of their Obama threads?

Damn and I thought the issue was RNC (the fiscally responsible ones) spending frivoulous amounts of their donators money.
Their sexual  mores are one thing, Being on this site, I couldnt give a damn if they  are all closet sadists or maso's.  But this is the party that is sposedly worried about cutting expenditures, and how healthcare isnt as important as cutting spending.
The only thing they can do is to deflect any argument is by bringing up Clinton, or just changing the subject....

We really should be discussing Reagan, who ushered in this brave new world that has such people in it.

I guess the question that comes up for me is. Was he entertaining donors at this club, or was it a personal rest and relaxation type thing? The answer to that question is what my opinion of this rests on. If it was a personal trip to the club, then obviously something is wrong with the use of those funds.

Why?

It is ok to use donor funds to go to titty bars as long as they can secure more donations?

Is it wrong to to go to a titty bar to raise funds? Or better yet, would it be wrong to use donor funds to throw a fund-raiser at a titty bar?

As to the asking about why. If it was for personal pleasure, then obviously it would be something violating donor trust, and probably a few laws. Not sure how that wasn't clear in my posting.

Is it wrong to go to a titty bar to raise funds for a party that presents itself as representing "family values"?

Certainly seems contradictory, at least.

As has been mentioned, we are talking the "family values" party here.

I can only imagine the hysteria on Fox if this had been the DNC.

My friend, I can honestly say that titties are valued by my family, for that matter all parts of the female are valued by my family. To answer your question, I can't see anything wrong with raising money at a strip club. Further, I didn't know it was up to their opposition to set the standards for what is and isn't acceptable on moral grounds.

On the sixth day he said let there be breasteses, and there were, so that on the seventh day he fondled them while drinking a beer and watching football. Thadius 1-13

So besides the objection you have about this being the "family values" party, can I get an answer to my questions?

Yes you can, and no I don't object to them doing this.

I just find it ridiculously hypocritical for the RNC to be doing what they would condemn anyone else for.

It's hardly in keeping with the values of their Christian conservative base.

That's the game. The people most adamantly in favor in traditional monogamy or whatever are always the first and most eager to break these values.

On a side note, I wager there are more closeted homosexuals in the RNC than with the democrats.

That's right -- the RNC is really, really gay.

Honestly... you really want answers to your rhetorical questions? But.. that's... not...

Okay okay... answers: yes, no, no, no, maybe.

Just an update to the topic, it appears this may cause more divisions within the Republican Party.

I can't see how so many predict a Republican takeover of Congress in November when we already have the Teabaggers splitting the party and now this:

Analysis: RNC chairman Michael Steele's very bad week

But the most consequential development of the RNC’s unholy mess of a week didn’t involve leather or naughty talk, but rather the sharply worded comments from one of the most prominent social conservative leaders in the party.

Family Research Council President Tony Perkins used his regular newsletter to members to urge them to stop giving money to the national GOP.

"This latest incident is another indication to me the RNC is completely tone-deaf to the values and concerns of a large number of people they are seeking financial support from,” Perkins wrote.

Perkins’s comments won’t suddenly dry up fundraising from the party’s Christian conservative base. But by going public, he offers cover to other Republican leaders and activists to stop giving to the committee.

The RNC’s public relations fiascos also make the party’s image-conscious politicians want to keep their distance from the committee — which in turn deprives the committee of fundraising draws.

A high-dollar reception slated to coincide with the Southern Republican Leadership Council’s meeting next week in New Orleans, for example, right now does not include any of the party’s biggest names.

And their effort to lure contributors by highlighting “invited guests” on the invitation — a time-honored fundraising sleight of hand — blew up when former Sarah Palin’s camp told POLITICO that they had twice asked the committee to remove her name.  Palin, probably the biggest fundraising "get" in GOP politics at the moment, “will not take part in any RNC fundraiser in New Orleans,” an aide said.
