When it was Palin's kids, it was OK to attack them, because they were campaigning for their mom, but since it's some poor little Democrat example, out comes the mighty outrage!!!!

Really?

You don't see the difference between criticizing a politician who preaches abstinence and whose daughter gets pregnant and attacking a child who has lost his mother?

quote:

Rush made a valid point, There won't be any coverage for 4 LONG years, try asking your boss at work for 4 years of salary in advance, and lets see the faux outrage when he laughs in your face.

It's not about whether he made a valid point, it's about the scummy way he went about making that point.

Bullshit, it wasn't the attack on Bristol I'm talking about, it was the attack on Trig, and his Downs, and the accusation that Trig was actually Bristol's.

Rush didn't attack the boy, he rightly pointed out that even if Obama care passed before his Mom died, she still would be dead, because coverage doesn't start for FOUR fucking years.

Save the fake outrage, it makes you look like an ass.

What I do know, based on this instance and other occurrences is Rush is one sleaze bag example of a human being. One has to wonder just where is his own personal Rubicon?....does he even have a line he feels he would not cross?

Of course there isn't. He'd hardly be working for Fox news if there was, would he?

What about the fact that Republicans seem to have an inability to conduct themselves in a civilized manner?....

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2010/03/22/stupak-called-baby-killer-house-floor/

Rep. Bart Stupak of Michigan, who had fought for tough language barring federal subsidies for abortion coverage, denounced the Republican move, saying it was nothing more than an attempt to deny 32 million Americans health care. From the Republican side a voice shouted, "Baby killer!"

Statement from Rep. Randy Neaugebauer (R-TX, pronounced NOGG-uh-boww-err) taking ownership of last night’s “baby killer” comment shouted while Rep. Bart Stupak (D-MI) was speaking. Neaugebauer says he regrets “that my actions were mistakenly interpreted as a direct reference to Congressman Stupak himself.” The Congressman says he said “it’s a baby killer” and did not call Stupak a “baby killer.”

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2009/09/10/congressman-yells-lie-obama-speech/

Congressman Yells 'You Lie' at Obama During Speech

FOXNews.com
The outburst from Rep. Joe Wilson came directly after the president said, "The reforms I'm proposing would not apply to those who are here illegally." Later, Wilson apologized.

This type of behavior is not surprising watching how the conservatives conduct themselves out here. No regard for the truth just trying to over talk and shout over the opposition.

See it all the time with the posts you lying shits make.

I agree and I have to wonder how did an 11 year old find out what Rush said about him? Did he hear it by accident or did someone tell him about it? And if they told him, why?

Myself, I'm sort of wondering why the fat fuck said it in the first place.
Do you call all overweight people "fat fucks" or just the republicans? Oh and if you followed the post, you would see that I agreed Rush was also wrong.

But you're probably right, we should blame those who told him.
Yes, they were using the kid also and take partial responsibility for what he hears.

Though I do think that most eleven-year olds are probably capable of operating a television or a radio.  They may even know how to use the internet.
Yea, and I am sure they are all tuning into the right wing talk shows.[8|]

When did I ever suggest it was ok to go after Palin's kids?

Rush made a valid point, There won't be any coverage for 4 LONG years, try asking your boss at work for 4 years of salary in advance, and lets see the faux outrage when he laughs in your face.
Rush made an insensitive statement, typical of his show. He does it to piss people off and to improve his ratings and see how well it works.

I do not feed the trolls... I don't listen no matter what trash he talks...

My mom used to listen to him, get all wound up over his show... and I told her if everyone who can't stand him didn't tune in he would lose his show.

Anyone who wants to be a politician should automatically be disqualified - unless they can prove they actually worked - physically - for a living - as in, a nurses aide, a street worker, a janitor, etc etc. And being a lawyer doesn't count.

Its easy to speak in hypotheticals if you have nothing to reference them to. If you actually can put a face to something you espouse, it becomes harder to be a hardliner.

Well, I'm watching the democrats use this kid, right now on youtube, and am disgusted they'd USE this kid for emotional gain. You don't put a kid in the middle of the debate, and open him up to this shit.

Pure shit those involved are.

I see, so we can blame this on those who used his mother's death as an example of why we need health care reform and we can excuse those like Malkin, Beck, and Limbaugh because, after all, he was put out there so they had every right to attack.

Sort of the reverse of what you said when Palin's kids were in the spotlight.

But let me re-post this again, because if you want to really know what "pure shit" is it is this man:

Limbaugh said on March 12 ..."And, I would say this to Marcelas Owens: 'Well, your mom would still have died, because Obamacare doesn't kick in until 2014.'"

Unless I was drunk, I don't particularly care for any kids being used in politics. While in this case, the bulk of the problem is the Democrats for using the kid. As far as your quote about rush, that is why you don't bring kids in to a brawl. And this is a brawl, the Dems are acting as if somehow the kids won't be targeted.

So, whatever, if you think I'm a Rush fan, or anyone else, my point is politics is the game of shit slinging, this could have been predicted with favorable odds of outcome and now the outrage, when the shit begins flying.

It's simple enough once anyone takes a position on a hot button political issue on the national stage, they will be talked about, and for some like Rush, it will be of a predictable kind. Some like to play ignorant, as if they didn't consider how this would appear, or be reacted to.

So, spare the indignation, or the I should attack Rush equally game, I doubt he'd of tracked this kid down if the kid wasn't put on national tv to push the democrats agenda, and Rush is a dick most of the time, so what the fuck did they expect? And no I don't excuse anything Rush does, I don't listen to Rush, nor am I fan. Nor am I a republican talking head. What I am is a person that blames the person, or people that sends a child into a battle for their benefit, when they know the possible outcome.

You don't send a kid into a drug den and expect him to come out without at least a contact high.

Have you ever lost a parent because of a lack of health insurance? I lost my father when I was 13 because we lost our health coverage. He would have lived had he been able to get regular checkups.

Your personal history has no effect on my opinion of using an 11 year to push an agenda. Whether the bill is good or not is not the issue.

Now, you are an adult woman, you are free to go on the national stage if you wish and tell your story, and guess what will happen, the exact thing that happens every time, someone will attack, or refute, or lie, or praise, or whatever about what you said.

The point is you don't use kids in politics, or you shouldn't, and yes, I think anyone that does it is shit, it just happens to be the democrats this time.
