Hello everyone.  It's hard to say whether or not I'm new or experienced to this life.  Read a lot and I've done my research but I don't have any practical experience.  I'd like to meet new people and possibly make some friends (and perhaps some more).  Any advice on how to do that here?  The chat rooms are somewhat chaotic and well, I've sent out a few messages to some people but no responses other than a single spammer....

I haven't been doing this all that long either and when I tried the chat rooms I didn't really like them.
If you are looking for friends you might try filling out your profile a bit more and telling something about yourself so people can get a feel for you and how you think.

You live in Florida.  There are a lot of Florida kinksters on these boards.  Head on over to Off Topic and join the discussions and you'll meet 'em!

Welcome.

When I receive messages from people who post on the forums, I often respond to them faster, than ones that I'm not familiar with. So, my suggestion, start posting more often. When people get to see who you are here, you may find yourself talking with people who are local to you. I've only been to the chat rooms a few times, I didn't find them to my liking either.

Edited to add: Remember to check out local munches and BDSM events. You may have better luck face to face than behind a monitor [:)].

Risktaker, any thoughts on how to create a profile that's not pathetic and sets off klaxons in the readers minds???  Should be stated that I'm pretty self-deprecating normally.

Domin8tingUrDrmz, thanks for the ideas but part the problem I have is that I can't really meet people face to face.  I have to live this part of my life in secret because the people that live around me don't know and I'm unable to leave where I am for the indefinite future.  Part of the reason why I don't post any pictures or have a cam or anything like that.  Can't take the risk of people finding out...
