Just took on a sub to train yesterday. Decided to put a dungeon of sorts in my new home. I had her paint the walls black and when I came home today the painting was finished. Got a new 4 poster bed and new mattress with all black sheets. Got some nice black curtains and things. Going to wait awhile on the other things because of money and training purposes.

Got her a Frisbee and a baseball thinking about changing her diet plan. Need to buy some chains from the local Dom-Depot.

Thinking about modifying the bed with shackles but I cant find any.

(Baseball is for my batting practice. Basicly I just hit a ball she pitches and she goes and gets it. Its an idea I thought would be fun to try to implement some exercise and control. Frisbee is just a frisbee....We just like throwing it around.)

That was fast. All subs love a frisbee. Black is such a well respected community color.

Yeah, I didnt find her on here. Ive actually known her for over 3 years or so and she is a very close friend of mine. Black is always good! Instead of painting the ceiling we are going to try to pin up black sheets to give it a "padded cell" type of look.

Also looking for black astroturf....but thats a really odd request at lowes...

Is it just me... is it my heightened paranoia from multiple experiences with broken beds or is that bedpost crooked as hell? Did your slave assemble the bed?

Speaking about broken beds:

My now husband and i spend a week together in Duisburg, for 3 nights we stayed in a rather strange flat. During sex the bed broke down and we were still in the aftermath of that, as the door of the flat opened. The cleaning person was not informed about our being in the flat and wanted to clean. Michael who was like me naked, reached lightspeed in dressing a bit and running to the woman.

After she was gone, we collapsed on the bed laughing.

Why astroturf? Uncomfortable as hell on the knees. Just go to a carpet remnant store and find something better for bare skin. And solid black? You must have a ton of lights in the place and a high electric bill.

LOL it is. We went shopping for a bed and was originally going to go with a standard mattress,boxspring and one of those free metal frames. But we searched around and got a new mattress and a slightly screwed up bed. It looks kind of funky but Im taking it to the shop (The post) and getting the inner steel bar straightened. Not a big deal for me though.

Astroturf was just a wierd thought. I do plenty of random and strange things (Like getting the frisbee and etc etc) and I thought I would try astroturf instead of carpet. Ive also thought about that white gravel people use along their walkways. Putting it IN the room would def make it unique but I thought it was ...TOO far fetched. I didnt think about the knees thing...But hey. I wont be down there ;) . Nah, Im going to take it all into concideration. With me you never know....I may go to the carpet store and end up paving it. LOL

I wanted the bed to be black as well...But Im not painting this one..At least not now. I dont like alot of light to be involved...When you have a completely black room its alot like sensory deprivation except you have alot of room to move around vs being in a mask. I realise its probably steryotypical to do this..But Its what I like and it serves me a utility purpose. Also,Ive noticed that alot of dungeons/playrooms are being painted red. Thats good too if thats what you like.. The room was PINK when I moved in. It had little fairy stickers all over the place. Im thinking this was an improvement.

Thanks for everyones replies on this post. I was just so excited I thought I would tell everyone. I hope to be adding some video journals too. Does anyone do those around here or do they just go unwatched?

whatever you put on the floor... make sure to put PADDING beneath it...(spoken as someone who has bad knees).  And keep in mind that kneeling on a concrete/hard surface can cause issues....

Absolutely. The health and safety of any of my subs/pupils etc is number one in my opinion. Im actually thinking about a nice thick shag rug... The AstroTurf idea is still up in the air. There is carpet that Im not going to take up. Im just going to lay whatever I find on top of the existing carpet. So that may provide some extra padding.

LOL, Fae,I did paint a room black once with lighting bolts on the ceiling.:) fun!!!

Better make sure your sub doesn't have allergies.  Dust mites and dust mite wastes in old carpeting would make me ill.  Actually dust mites are not good for anyone.  Did you know that 18-30% of people are sensitive to dust mites and dust mite wastes?

Sounds depressing.

I couldn't live in a home or even sleep in a bedroom that was all black. I need sunlight, bright colors.

Never understood why a dungeon has to be black and ugly/creepy.

Silly littleone - its because big domly sorts want to look bigger, domlyer and more powerful. Sort of like when women wear vertical stripes to look slimmer - it creates the illusion of domination!

After all, you can't be too thin, or too domly! [:D]

Well, if it were painted bright yellow it wouldn't look much like a dungeon... [:D]

Nothing wrong with a BDSM playroom/toy room, but a dungeon generally implies a dark and foreboding color.
