Here's something constructive: it's called single-payer, it's what the rest of the developed world has been doing for a while, and it's an embarrassing gaping hole in American ideology.

Yes, I agree with you, but if you oppose reforms that you deem not going far enough, even though they are moving in the right direction, then you are only shooting yourself in the foot.

Long run, I'd add housing to that list.

Less pressure on the individual = less corruption, less intentional waste, greater efficiency, and a new (real) moral sentiment within the populace.

Or, we could tack the bill onto something for military funding. Let's get creative. Give it a confusing name. Hold the vote at the middle of the night.

It's a major leap of faith that this bill will not in fact strength the insurance monsters.

It's also a major leap of faith that rates will not continue to rise 4X the rate of inflation.

There might be some roads available on the state level.
