I just spent the last hour and a half, sitting outside. I was enjoying 12 above average hot wings at some delightful American hoppy ales. I was in shirt sleeves.

I feel so sorry for you poor bastards that live where it is mostly warm all year around. by mostly warm I mean you folks who this 30-40 degrees for a day or two is freezing!!!!!

You will never really know the shear, pure joy I just experienced.

I feel sorry for you all.

Jeff

As much as we bitch about the cold it is days like this that give you pause to rejoice. Not to take a nice day for granted.

It's a wonderful day to have hoppy beers and hot wings.

I miss you. I am glad you are happy.

You're sorry that I don't get to freeze my ass off as much as you? Ok.

We've been having gorgeous weather down here for a couple weeks now. I'm not sorry.

You're right, it sure as fuck was and I am SO glad it's over! Oh man, I am a cold weather wimp. I'm a total pussy when it comes to being cold. I admit it freely.

Today kinda scared me, though. It was alll grey and I was sitting in the house before leaving and I kept thinking, "Gosh it's cold in here" Sure enough, it was cold outside, too. I'll be darned. I was like, "I don't want it to be cold some more." But it warmed up shortly before I came home. Indeed, I was kind of regretting my jacket. But, we made it back alive, in spite of it all.

Yes, we have survived yet another cold dreary day. I'm tough!

Jwef, thanks for making this thread so I can chime in how much I loved every drop of today.

I mean I didnt have wings and brews on a patio and that sounds really good. Hot wings. Mmmm. the drummy part for me please. Blue Cheese dip, well okay.

I did get a gig doing some organizing for a musician guy, organizing his files for about four hours today.

I was bitching because he lives like an hour and a half at least by public transit. Add to it it is out of the city so I would pay an additional fair and they pay more per ride. I wrote him and asked him if he would give up some money for the travel ticket and he said he would kick in 20 bucks.

I knew it was going to be the warmest day ever and I wasnt sure if I was going to be trapped in the basment away from the glorious sunshine.

Then I decided late last night that I would ride my bike. I checked it was like just over 10 miles. I could do that.

So I did. Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha I loved it. Rode my bike all the way out of the city and back.

To totally top it off I have been in the market for some poundage of Shea Butter. I havent found any since I moved back from New York and I usually get it when I am there but I havent gone this year and dangerously close to the end of my stash. I finally spoke with a guy on the phone yesterday after getting a really good tip that took about a year to come to pass and found out what an awesome deal he had. He gave me the address. I remembered what he said, I didnt bring the paper, it kind of hadnt really occurred to me I could do both, get the shea butter and do the job. I was racing in the morning to get there on time, so no time then and the guy I had the job with today, he said I would go til about five but I finished by four so I thought I would see if I could find the place. It was way the freak out there but I did find it. Yet right in that basic neighborhood where I was, so perfect.

The guy in the store said he didnt have the key for storage area so he called the woman who owns the store and I dont know he couldnt find the stuff. He said he was going to take the lock off. He went next door and got a screw driver and boyo!! The shea butter still in the sack from Ghana.

I told him I would take 3 lbs. As he was cutting away I told him how much my friends love it, I make skin potion (cause it is magic) and he said, "Well then I am going to give you more."

He then cut off more and then even a little bit more. I also bought some scotch bonnet peppers and how perfect was that? It was an enchanted day. The sun was setting as I made my home. I realized the whole way there was mostly a slow ascent. I really noticed it on the way home, I practically sailed. Traffic is another thing though, yikes. There are a few huger hills up and down but I did the trip in about an hour each way! The sun each way was like elixir to me, I was lashing it up

Saved time, made 20$ extra since no public transit.

Yay Today!

Don't feel sorry for me, Jefff.  When I am in 30 or 40 degree weather I start having problems breathing.  I feel sorry for others like myself who can't get to warm places for the winter.

Pretty glorious here today as well.  There are only about two weeks of the year when this desert is green, and they are upon us.  It's not looking to be a great year for the wildflowers (they like a good soaking rain in November), but even a crappy year is still pretty good.  Mid 70's all week, is the forecast, and the winds are calm.

Loving the springtime!

Sounded like HC had the best day of all! What a glorious day you had. I haven't had a day like that in so long. Soon, I'm going to venture forth and go exploring on my bike and definitely make plans to go someplace out of the way. What a cool day.

it was glorious. I walked 1.36 miles according to my pedometer on a path curling around a wide open river.....lovely.....

now on days such as this I wonder how to hack into my social security number and change my date of birth so i may retire immediately. Should such days be wasted indoors? I think not.

Beautiful day.

I went running by the canal with my dog for a few hours.

Then I got a start on pruning my fruit trees. Did a third of the apples.

Then I just watched the stars for a bit.

I love living in the country.

It's still bloody cold here in the far north of England. But as I was out walking the dogs across the fields this morning at 7am, it smelled of spring. And I heard birdies singing above me.

Life is good.
