I had it right at the tip of my fingers, the two I use for typoing. But the phone rang, there was a knock at the door and it was time to eat. Maybe it's better that way.
It was something about labels, and the double edged sword they constitute. Something like that. It may have been redundant though in light of this thread. I think this topic is pretty much all about labels and how they can be misapplied. Maybe I'm wrong.
Maybe I am just ful of shit, but the way I am seeing this is to lump people together under a name, which by definition is a label. With that wide brush, they might just paint kinksters the same as pedophiles, something which has come up before but we are not the same by any stretch. Even with total negation of the whole argument from the fuddie duddies who would condemn us, they would still proceed.
Your religious types for example can indeed point to their Bible and show where is says that Man shall not lay with Man. But it says nothing about tying up Women, and also says nothing about Woman laying with Woman. Yet it is still an atrocity for some reason. They see anything but the norm as something bad, while preaching tolerance. Ho hum, welcome to Earth, third rock from the sun. And we can wait until the next preacher gets busted with a hooker, or a ten year old boy.
Hypocracy burns me up. I've made enemies because I try to say it how it is. Three times in six months ? Who the hell comes up with such a proverbial line drawn in the sand ? And who says that is the proper place ? Why not two times in six months, or four, or five, or one even ? Or for that matter a million.
Maybe I took this topic wrong, maybe I didn't. I think it's about labels. We try and try to cast off things like this and "they" just keep coming up with more. Those fuddie duddies would treat us like terrorists given sufficient opportunity. And do you know what ? They do it out of jealosy in many cases. They have those desires but reject them, and think us weak for not following suit. Like the old Man who chides the teen for having long hair. Everyone seems to forget that the old Man was bald. He WISHES he could have a head of hair like that. Basic psychology.
Where this is going I don't know, but it could turn out bad, to say the least. What can we do ?
