ORIGINAL: thornhappy I'm really scratching my head about that thread Merc mentioned. Seems overly complicated and trying too hard to classify things. That was beth Between the '9 Levels' and the '128 Rules' you can keep a person busy. Of course, the 128 were only the "Basics" - I don't know how many there would be if we go the 'intermediate' or 'advanced' set. Amazing isn't it? People seek other's versions of things to define them. Curiosity, research, or insecurity, what do you think is the primary reason? Consumed with how other's define them, they avoid what would serve them better - defining themselves. Not by words and labels which, as we know from our reading, are arbitrary and subject to evolution; but by living in a way that makes you happy. But how much fun is that? You may have to defend you life and the way you live it to people who can draw upon these ''9 Levels' and '128 Rules'. They sit behind computer screens and keyboards with authoritative references from the internet, and you just have a life. Unfair to say the least. I love collecting these "rules" and "levels" if for no other reason but to see how many we break; and determine which level beth has obtained. It's not about the submission it's about being validated. These are definitive sources of the 'one true way'. Follow them and you can achieve your 'black belt' in submission or dominance and get to know the secret hand shake. Edited to Add: beth pointed out that was the old testament version of the 128 Rules. The new testament comes with a more politically correct '10 Commandments' for the Master enforcing those 128 Rules.
