I'm finding it difficult to not laugh too hard...lol...well, I didn't actually try.
When someone nods their head to me in passing, I just see it as an acknowledgement and a hello of sorts. I do not take it to mean there is any type of romantic interest, muchless as an indicator of submission.
If I saw someone jogging with their hands behind their back, I'd just think, "how odd, don't they know how to jog properly?"
I don't think there is a particular action you can take to indicate your submissive leanings that would scream "I"M SUBMISSIVE, DAMMIT, NOTICE and DOMINATE ME!, pleeeaaase". lol.
However, men who have stopped to pick up something that I've dropped, allowed me to order something first (when they were first in line), opened and held doors for me...those men generally get a warm smile and a thank you. If they then strike up a conversation, I'm open to listening to their words. Who knows where that simple gesture may lead.
I also take notice to little charms and symbols worn by others. For instance, I once saw a guy who had a padlock charm on his cellphone. Out of curiousity, I asked him why he chose that charm for his cellphone. To my dismay, he said, "Oh, this is my girlfriend's phone." lol. But, I do notice those things, and sometimes I'll inquire to their meaning.
