What a game, and I'm not a hockey fan!!!!! Too bad someone had to lose as they were as closely matched as I have ever seen. Congratulations Canada for winning the hard fought gold. Great job USA for winning the silver. Great job.

The national angst that would have enveloped Canada had they lost that game....after surrendering the tying goal with less than 30 seconds remaining would have been truly devastating ....it is way better this way.The host country won,in the sport that most matters to their national identity.

Yeah for sure. Canada needed this and we all know you dont always get what you want so it is nice for this funny country to have the green light here.

I think the same could be said for any country in that position... but Im so pleased that we wont be finding out.
