do you find that you reply to someone and get no reply, you write and nothing comes back, are thay better than you no.

thay lack manners, and have no real respect for others.be carefull and remember if your offered a chat but thay need a tribute, then its not worth it.

You know what I think this site needs?

A meta-forum, so that all the posts moaning about the site itself can go in one clearly marked place where I don't click on them because the thread title sounds so misleadingly interesting.

Who do I email to request this?

FelineFae -> RE: respect and manners (2/17/2010 1:09:25 AM)

Would you feel better if you recieved a copied and pasted rejection email ?

Try not to take it personally, this is the internet. As in RL, rejection happens.

I almost always junk any messages to me when someone spells "they" as "thay".

Then again, good spelling is a huge fetish of mine.

Please write your request on a $100 bill and send it to me. I'll be sure to forward it to the proper CM authorities [:D]

I think some of those folks write the lolcats captions.

Damnit-I'm in England. No $100 bills here-this dream must remain forever unfulfilled...

Perhaps the Admins can set up a special "whine, groan, moan and bitch" section to divert the flow?

lizi -> RE: respect and manners (2/17/2010 1:27:53 AM)

And I would say that someone who gets hurt feelings over not getting an answer to an email is entirely too wrapped in themselves. You took it upon yourself to write an email, society at large doesn't owe you anything in return. Instead of whining about it you might want to try someone else and just accept that you're one small fish in a pond of applicants and you haven't distinguished yourself enough to get an answer.

The people starting these things are going to post them all over, no matter what, I'm afraid.

I had no idea what 'lolcats' was in reference to, so I had to do a quick search.  LOLCATS rock...lol.  Okay, yes, the spelling is atrocious, but so darn cute.

But quite a lot of these posts start with 'not sure where to post this, but 'blah blah blah'

If there was a forum called 'Talking about Collarme' it would be blatantly obvious.

And I would never ever have to go there :D

I'd avoid it too, unless there was comedic value to be had [:D]

i am happy you now know the glory of LOLCATS.
The cats were taught to spell by 'sounding out your words', and without thumbs they have a rough time with typing.

Unlike we foolish humans, cats are indeed cute enough to get away with faulty grammer.

stella41b -> RE: respect and manners (2/17/2010 4:21:44 AM)

I feel somewhat rude today, so I'm not going to post on this thread either. So there.

LadyPact -> RE: respect and manners (2/17/2010 6:35:37 AM)

Oh goody!  Another one.

OP, I want you to think of this in a different way.  I want you to look at the all of the mail that you receive at your home in a month.  The sales circulars, the offers from insurance agents, the letters asking you if you would like to switch phone companies.  Do you reply to all of those saying, "thanks, but no thanks"?  Of course you don't and neither does anyone else.
