Many of us have had this happen and some have commented on it here. You are typing a response to a post and you accidentally hit the wrong key and poof!  Off your reply goes into the cyber trash. What causes this? Is it a CM forum thing or a browser thing (I use Firefox) or maybe a Windows thing? Is the content of that potentially epic opus stored on some clipboard in your pc where you can retrieve it?

It most often happens on laptops when someone does not have their "touch to click" turned off.

I am terribly dyslexic and can't tell when I have letters reversed so I use a spell check.... Sometimes though I hit refresh instead of spell check and there goes the post...gone forever.

If I know I'm going to be writing a novella, I'll compose it in a text editor first then copy-n-paste it into a compose box here on CollarChat. I've had the mysterious disappearing thing happen myself while using a desktop, not a laptop. If the content is in a text editor, at least you'll be able to try and repost again.

What I've had happen a few times a while back, was clicking the "ok" button, only to get a "posting failed" message.  Poof.

Long posts, I try to remember to ctrl-c before I hit the button.
