ARCA Lucas oil mist something or other 200.  She got 6th place.

BUT she got knocked into the grass going into a turn, shot through the greenery for a while, got back on the track, went sideways, straightened out and kept going.

She had to pit to pull her fenders out but I think she has proved she can handle stock car racing and will be racing with the big boys very soon.

Calm down there tiger.  A 6th place finish in a high school level race doesn't really mean much.  All of the Indy drivers that have  moved over were much better drivers than she is and they all struggled heavily.  Don't expect a lot different from her this year.

After a restart with 17 laps to go, she was 23rd.  With five laps to go, she had worked her way back up to fifth, in a car that was loose and banged up.  Yeah, doesn't mean that much at all.

Sorry Stef,  it's still an ARCA race,  that's not even Nationwide series competition so no it doesn't mean much of anything.  All of the drivers who have crossed over have struggled, don't expect anything different from her this year.  At least she was smart enough to try running Nationwide series first.

She's an upper mid level Indy driver who has never liked driving in traffic.   One top five and a handful of top 10's in the Nationwide will be a major success for her.

The one I have to give it up for is Juan Pablo.  He has worked hard at making the switch and has been far and away the best one.  If last year is any indicator he should be right in the thick of things this year.

Keep your eye out for Parker Kligerman. He has been burning up the ARCA tracks and should graduate to the big time soon.

ARCA are the same cars as NASCAR.

The girl can drive.  She survived that crash fest and managed to finish 6th.  A respectable finish in a non-banged up car.

She will do fine.
