Has anyone noticed that scams are on the increase on CM? I've been inundated by emails. Any tips here?

I think that Wisconsin here on collarme is the new capital for scams and fake profiles. It's gotten bad in the last month or so..

Adjust the spam section on your cmail account and you won't get so many of them.

Yes, use common sense. People often underrate it's effectiveness in dealing with scammers.

If it sounds too good to be true, it almost certainly is.

My theory is that every male gets the same spam crap. but those with filled out profiles get more real messages. Guess what my suggestion to you is?

Let's sum this up in context. So now there are internet scammers ? What will they think of next ? Take away the computer and you have the late night TV ads. Take that away and you got mail scams. Take that away, and keep taking everything away and you'll have a traveling snake oil salesman.

We can carry this back to when Og was selling the first batch of his newly invented wheels. His brother Ig was probably nearby selling square ones.

@ShaharThorne Thank you for an actual suggestion as opposed to the wise-ass comments from others. I knew there was a reason I was spending more time on Fetlife. The fact is, I have been on CM for a while, but have never received this many scam emails in a two-week period. I just wanted to know if there has been an increase.

Yeah right I got a tip. Why don't some of you guys who are so upset over mails from fakes and scammers all get together, pitch in for a few guitars and maybe an harmonica, and start a revival in blues music?

If it's any consolation guys, I get at least one or two mails a week from a female sub seeking a real "master", blah blah blah. I do believe they are just mass mailing to anyone with a profile who pops up online, becaue I most certainly am not in the market for either a sub, or a female, of any sort.
