RowdyPants -> red names in email? (2/1/2010 11:57:24 PM)

i just sent an email and noticed the text was red for her name when usually it's pink, is there a reason for that?

Termyn8or -> RE: red names in email? (2/2/2010 12:03:22 AM)

Pink is female sub.
Red is female dominant.

Perhaps she is a switch or maybe schitzophrenic. Lucky you, they are the most fun.

ah, actually that was the reason i emailed her, shes a femdomme looking for a male dom, is that normal?

WyldHrt -> RE: red names in email? (2/2/2010 12:34:44 AM)

Welcome to the forums!
Whether it's "normal" or not depends. I know a few Dom/Domme couples, so I can say it certainly happens.

Termyn8or -> RE: red names in email? (2/2/2010 12:55:11 AM)

You got a Domme who wants to switch ? Gimme her name. I got a couple grand worth of items to put on her.

In the beginning at CM you setup a profile, and you get the option to declare you are sub, dom or switch.

I should redo my own, I am listed as a switch but I am the most dominant person you might ever meet online or otherwise. I mean it is my heart and soul, my being. I am dominant at work even but I hate going because I am not dominant ENOUGH. In my house I am God. I am however not domineering. There is a difference. Actually exploration here taught me a few things about myself.

Maybe they should add some categories, like dominant switch and submissive switch. But then they might run out of colors.

Main thing is if you are corresponding, just ask them. You are not jumping in bed with them in the next fifteen minutes right ? You have the chance to get it right from the horse's mouth, although I doubt many of the members here are horses.

In other words, only she can answer these questions. You might have a golden opportunity here, I would love to dom a Domme. "Fucking bitch, now tell me about next guy and how you beat their ass" as she is tied to the whipping post shedding tears. Oh yeah !

But as always be careful. You have probably seen a few threads about fakes by now. However they are not all fakes.

The color in which their Cmail name appears is dependent on their gender and orientation. Observing their profile might be of some interest. Was there a new journal entry when the color changed ? Anything like that ?

Be careful, but have fun. This could be nothing or the world to you. There is no way of knwing yet. Go to the phone state, and then the meet state, and then who knows.

Or maybe she wants to dom a Dom. You up to the switch or are you one of those who can dish it out but not take it ?

If something comes out of this, be sure to let us know. We've had at least one real wedding, a shitload of seriously shacked ups and connections. Most are probably happy. I guess that is one of the main purposes of this site.

why have colors in the first place? seeing as how it's not a couple binary options i think we should sacrifice pretty colors in favor of accuracy, but nobody asked me lol

More to the point, is anything normal on this site?

Why have colors? Say for example, you are a lesbian Domme and in your profile you specify no men. It is quite easy to just check off all the boxes next to the blues and then hit delete.

Pink is F submissive or slave.
Light blue is M submissive or slave.

Red is dominant F.
Dark blue is Dominant M.

Light purple is a couples profile.

Gold means it is from a site administrator (and the email has a gold border).

Black often means someone has deleted their profile, but not always... sometimes it is a glitch.

i agree colors would make things easier, but why not check off who you're looking to contact and have them be one color and people you're not into be another? more flexibility in the selection than dom/sub/switch would allow a simpler color scheme.

why not throw in the ability to make types you like bold and types you don't regular? not everyone can even see in color.

i get why they'd color code people, but it might not be the best application of that idea

Simpler for you, but a fuck of a lot more complex for them...this site has a shitload of members, so writing the code to personalise everybody's email like that would be rather a large task and use up a lot of space...why not just do the work yourself, I mean after all you get what you pay for around here dude...and its a damned good deal if you ask me.

This is a BDSM site not a human resources department or an employment agency. I have frequent contact with people I'm not looking to form a relationship with or even a long term friendship but just to exchange views, wishes, comments etc and this is one of the good things about this site that people are free to contact each other without too many restrictions.

You can also contact as many people as you like FOR FREE without having to sign up for Premium, Silver or Gold-Plated-The-Sun-Shines-Out-Of-My-Ass Membership.

Those who use iPhones or other messaging capable phones tend to show up in an off color. Submissive males are a slightly darker blue, but not the same dark blue as dominant men. So if you see a color you aren't familiar with, it is likely due to that person using a phone when sending a message here.
