pahunkboy -> problem- non-solving- help? (1/30/2010 12:26:31 PM)

I have a couple of problems that have me very upset.

I don't want to get to specific in them.  But I am at a loss to discover a mode of coming to any sort of solution.

Part of me- says- I need to ask the right people- the right questions to then arrive at a decision.

For now- it is the weekend- and this is not possible to gather the needed info.

I was hoping that the answer would pop into my head when I am not dwelling on it.   But I was up tossing and turning last night about how things are a wreck-

So- there has to be a way to unleash the relax- problem solving mode of my brain.

Can anybody speak to this?

Thank you so much for any imput.

Sometimes it helps me to write it all out.
Other times I go for a long walk and try to think about other things (sort of like when you lose something, it can be easier to find when not looking for it).
Or I roll a doobie, smoke it with a friend and try to talk it out.

I'm sorry you're struggling with stuff right now and I hope that you figure things out.

I'm with camille here, burn a fattie.

I walked in the door from work yesterday to find out that I have to have the drains snaked out to the street, AGAIN in two months. This means alot of digging in the spring. It also means wrecking part of my Saturday to go get the machine. Does this house think I am made of money or what ! ?

Don't get me wrong, I have people for everything, but by the time they get weeded and feeded it costs almost as much.

...toking- is something I don't do.   Luckily---

But I get the drift- to chill- defrag my brain- then hopefully on Monday I can begin to gather info.

I once worked in a job that consisted of being part of a problem-solving think-tank sort of thing.  What we were told was to take at least 10 minutes out of ever hour to do physical exercise of any sort.  Walk the halls, climb up and down the stairs, play ping-pong (they had a table set up in the break room).  Getting physical exercise is the best way to give the brain a rest.

HEY, this country was founded on weed. Even the Constitution is written on hemp paper.

Hmm, maybe that's why they have so much security around it, some asshole would steal it and smoke it.

well no.  I am not passing judgment on those who do. As I can see why it would be relaxing and such-   But I do not need it to complicate things any more.   It is not something I seek out-.   It isn't like I can run to the store and pick it up with milk and bread.  It just is not something that I need.   As it is- booze can set here for months- even years-

Anyhow- for some this is a doable option- for me- it is not.

Hit your local search engine. Look for anybody anywhere online who has voiced concern about similar types of problems.

It's sometimes much easier being able to look at someone else's issue and say "this is totally what I'd do in their place!" while the answer can elude us when the issue is personal.

Plus, it might offer up other answers people have come up with.

pahunk, take some paper. Write down the problem/s, and then write down what you want to happen. Then start breaking it down, piece by piece.... what do I have to do to get to point A, then point B, etc. When you hit a wall/problem, do the same thing: what would I need to do to solve this.

Hopefully Monday or Tuesday- I can get the person on the phone to advise me.

I think I know who to call.   I need to know my options.  I will keep you posted.  Thanks!
