Ok, so I could either have written loads of threads or just the one and ask loads of stuff, I am going for the second option.

I write for a movie blog, I am really enjoying it. I have some ideas of posts but I was wondering what other people thought. Basically I want to do a series of top fives. I have my own personal lists for all these things but you know how annoying it is when you write a list then a few days later someone mentions something and you think shit that should have been one of mine. So here they are.

Top Five teen films, I thought of this because we all have at least one movie that was pivotal during our teen years, for my generation it has to be american pie.

Top Five films exploring sex, actually this section is the one that made me think about doing a top five thing, I was watching cruel intentions and was totally shocked at how it has maintained its eroticism. Then I thought about how shit sex scenes often are.

Top five films a man shouldnt watch. This is a bit of a strange one, because actually the films on my list are ones men really should watch, the most recent addition being Misery.

Top five soundtracks, and the reason that I have decided to post this thread now, I just finished watching the boat that rocked and I have to say that it has the best soundtrack I have ever heard.

So what sorts of things would your own lists contain?

I would shoot for the 5 films that slid under the radar screen.  You know- underrated-  crowded out by some other item- but still worthy to watch.  A way for others to rediscover the gem in the wild.

Ta, yeah a few of them are rather obscure ones that I already have on the list, of course it wouldn't really work for the teen one.

Top 5 films that make you cry
Top 5 films you'd take on a desert island (assuming electricity and a DVD player)
Top 5 to enjoy with a child
Top 5 you can't believe anyone paid the director this much $ to make it

Fast Times at Ridgemont High
Ferris Bueller's Day Off
American Graffiti
Say Anything
Pretty in Pink

9 1/2 Weeks
Spanking the Monkey
Henry and June
Last Tango in Paris
Lolita (more an exploration of lust, and temptation, and obsession than "sex")

Misery? For which women to avoid?

Saving Private Ryan
Diner
Swingers
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid
Dr No

American Graffiti
Singles
Dazed and Confused
The Big Chill
Empire Records (an aside: I chose this last one due to the great songs throughout the movie, many of which are NOT on the soundtrack, sadly.)

Reading back, I saw you did indeed mean movies guys should not watch

Fatal Attraction
The Sound of Music
Anything with Rosie O'Donnel

And, were you asking for types of lists? Seems so.

*starts looking for my reading comprehension how to book*

Wait...are you asking for personal submissions to the lists you've already made or other ideas for lists?

I think that it says that it has a lot of funny moments in it.  And then of course there is the finger painting scene.

Shortbus.

It's so wonderfully quirky...and...the sex scenes aren't shit.

Top Five Films Every High School Student Should Watch.

And at the top of that list I would put Schindler's List.

Definately one of the Best films ever!

A topless Phoebe Cates and a naked Jennifer Jason Leigh. What more does a movie need?

And didn't every class have a Spicoli?
