It all goes back to the saying "If it sounds to good to be true, it is not"

I have used C/L to sell, quite a few things and even bought a motorhome off C/L, it just takes apply a little common sense, and yea when I sold stuff I got all those, hey I'll pay for shipping but the check will arrive from another place.  It's always cash and carry on C/L, no checks, no money orders, no pennies,  Just good old US currency

I am talking to the exiled leader of Nigeria and should have the money in my account any day now

Ok, who wants to have some fun with me? Because quite surprisingly, the idiot did reply to my email about seeing the inside! Told me I can look through the windows, lol. So what can I say in the response to really keep this idiot keep thinking he has someone on the "hook" that he is going to reel in?

Write back and tell him that you have a sick old uncle who is dying and wants to leave 5 billion dollars to the people of Nigeria and all he needs to do is give you one million for processing and he can take the check for 5 billion back to Nigeria and open up an account with it.....

Hee hee! That's a good one. But I'm thinking that would let him know I know he was trying to scam me, and that ends the fun too soon.

I was thinking of writing him and telling him that I did look through the windows and how the house is just perfect. That my husband and I were in Haiti helping with the earthquake and I came back with our 2 kids, while he stayed down there because he is a minister and wanted to continue to help. Thought maybe I would use that to try to negotiate a lower price. Ask if he has many other people interested in the property, blah blah blah.

These scammers just bug me. I don't fall for them at all, but I feel for those who do, particularly elderly people who get fleeced out of their life savings. I heard of another elderly couple that happened to recently. They got bilked by some bogus Canadian "lottery" which was linked to some outfit in Hong Kong. These scam artists make my blood boil.

That's got potential, lol. Or, tell him the house is so wonderful that you are offering to pay him double the security deposit and rent to make sure that he doesn't rent it to anybody else.......?
