I don't think they had any good music in the 70's. The 80's were a desert too, one name "Air Supply."

Pink Floyd did some of their best work in the 70's. Tom Petty and Elvis Costello begain their careers in the late 70's. 10cc and ELO got thei starts in the 70's. Peter Frampton was everywhere but then, sadly, become a sort of joke (still plays a mean guitar, though). Eagles/Joe Walsh, Linda Ronstadt, Chicago (before the moved to LA and went to hell), Jeff Beck, Rod Stewart, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Thin Lizzy, Van Morrison, Cream/Eric Clapton, Boomtown Rats (Bob Geldoff, anyone?!) - the list goes on and on.. Hey Popeye - based on your statement, what are you listening to these days that doesn't trace back to the 70's and/or 80's? ~Dave
