Just a thouhgt. I have only been on this site for a short while but i have been on many other contact sites over the years. The one thing i have noticed is that there is a phenominal amount of people that are willing to tell you what you want to hear on the pretence that they are interested in you when in reality they are only interested in cyber. My question is why don't sites like this have a seperate section for these people so that they can speek to each other & let the rest of us genuine advertisees get on with it. I know this would'nt nesceseraly get rid of all of the none genuine people but i suspect it would greatly improve chances of contacting genuine people for the rest of us.

There is a box to check if one is actively seeking an online romance, so the problem is not that there is no "section" for people seeking such.

Or at least it wouldn't be a problem if people reacted to you not checking the box by leaving you alone...

I don't have the box ticked, I state explicitly on my profile that I don't want cyber, and I still get two or three emails a day minimum from dom guys in the far east wanting cyber.

I'm not moaning-it doesn't particularly bother me; it does demonstrate, however, that the tick box is inadequate.

Exactly, the tick box is inadequate, so would'nt a dedicated section be more appropriate & maybe attract more attention.

You are expecting people to read. The people who send cyber requests rarely take the time to read a profile, that would get in the way of their erection. There are Video Chatrooms and regular chatrooms that people can go to in order to participate in their cyber fetishes. Those who just spam random profiles with their pleas for instant gratification are not going to bother navigating their way to those chatrooms or bother reading whether or not the hot person they are writing to is interested in cyber by checking their tick boxes. What they are going to do is what they have always done; send out vast amounts of one liners, hoping that someone will tell them some fetishy fantasy so they can get their jollies.

If you aren't interested in these messages, block the sender. That will send them to another section...your ignore feature.

The tick box is not inadequate. You are both missing the point. There is no way to keep people you are not interested in from trying to initiate contact with you. You can filter your mail, but it is up to you to sift through the chaff and glean the wheat.

Perhaps for the same reason you weren't aware that it existed. They didn't notice it.

It's kind of like taking out the brown m&m's from the rest of the colors because they are your favorite... you pretty much have to separate them yourself. Why have someone else do your own social work and networking? The creepy one's are maybe someone else's favorite toy to bat around. I don't see how you can separate liar's or con's... it's not like they tell you what they are.

Any more reasonable questions?
