I don't understand, op, by what you mean by saying you have to hide that you are a d/s couple. If he looks at the clock and says "time to go", I don't argue, just stand up and walk out with him. If he says don't get the berry ripple ice cream, get the Moose Tracks, I just do it. That is d/s in action, him making a decision and me going along with it.

Generally, collars are ok at munches, but cuffs would not be - they're held at vanilla restaurants, and they ask that attendees dress accordingly. I personally found that it was difficult to get to know people at them - any time I got an interesting conversation going, a bunch of people would come up to us and change the topic. There's a small discussion group for ladies at a private home that I love attending, and playparties can be fun (especially the private ones).
