Rochsub2009 -> How did she do this? (1/18/2010 8:30:28 PM)

This is probably posted in the wrong place, but i got a message from a Domme today that says she likes my profile and wants to get to know me.  The problem is that when i look at her profile, it says that she hasn't logged on in over a week.  How is this possible?

The reason that i ask is that i am suspicious of her.  There is no indication that she has ever looked at my profile.  i know how to look at someone's profile without it showing up in their "who's viewing me" file, so this alone is not particularly odd.  However, there are other elements of her message that make me question its validity.  Then when it shows that she hasn't even logged on lately, it really sends off alarms.

Has anyone ever seen this happen before?  How could she send a message without it registering that she logged on?

BTW, i apologize if there is an obvious answer to this mystery, but i've never seen this happen before.

CalifChick -> RE: How did she do this? (1/18/2010 8:34:57 PM)

There is an option somewhere in the settings (maybe in "edit profile" or perhaps in "my account") that says "hide my last online date".  She may have that enabled.

If there is nothing in their message to show they know anything about me (did they mention the gift boxes, or the beach, or what I'm wearing or not wearing in any of the pics, etc.), then I figure it's a cut and paste and I just move on.

That's probably it.  i didn't know that this option existed.  Thanks for clarifying that.

And yes, the message does seem like a generic message that she sends to lots of people.  That's why i responded back and asked her "what specific items in my profile did you like most?"  i doubt that i'll get an answer.

What I find suspicious are the 22-year-old dolls with beautiful pictures in their profile thousands of miles away that say the want to get to know me...yea right…a man in his 60’s… I wish. Just think...is this person appropriate to your age wants and needs...if not it is most likely a troll out for money eventually.

As a side note the kinkier your pictures or profile the more of these type messages you get.

Yeah, i get these all the time.  They're inevitably in California or the Philippines, and they have stunningly beautiful pictures.  Yet for some reason they are interested in me, even though my profile says that i'm only interested in local Dommes.

Usually the next message is going to tell me that i need to send tribute if i want to communicate with them further (even though they wrote to me first).  [8|]

Even with that, there are ways of seeing their last online date. Rochsub, if you see that she was online 10 days ago, then she isn't hiding it.

I have mine hidden but they can see my last logon date I believe if a) they are in my circle of friends, b) I am on their favorites list or c) if I'm on their "viewed them" list. I just perved your profile so you can do the test by mousing over my profile vignette.

So you say that she looked at your profile while leaving no tracks?

Does her reflection show in a mirror?  Does she avoid the daylight?

Just askin'.

I'm going to bed in a few minutes, and you're frightening me.  Please stop saying that.

Well now that you mention it...............

ThatDamnedPanda -> RE: How did she do this? (1/18/2010 9:38:35 PM)

Rochsub, it's also possible to browse profiles as a guest, without even having an account much less being logged on. If she had some reason for not wanting people to know she'd been online, it's possible for her to do that.

But if you viewed someone as a guest, would you be able to send them a message?  Don't you have to log in to actually send messages?

DrkJourney -> RE: How did she do this? (1/18/2010 9:42:26 PM)

Actually, I'm not sure how she did that.  I chose the option to not show the last time I've been online and the only date is shows is the day I created this profile and no other...so not sure how she can be on and it show a date for weeks earlier.

Did you do the little test I mentioned above? Message me her handle on the other side and I'll put an end to the mystery. I'm sort of a geek that way ;-)

Ah! Yes. That wasn't terribly bright of me, was it? Pretty much shoots my idea right out of the water.

I guess I'm not sure what to say then. I'm stumped.

VideoAdminAlpha -> RE: How did she do this? (1/18/2010 10:47:12 PM)

If you view someone on the half page, but dont pull up their full profile, your name will not show up in the who's viewing me.

Or, if you happen to be at the top of a search page, someone can scroll all the way through your profile, they just cannot see your likes and dislikes, and you would never know they looked.

Anything else I can do for yall today/tonight? [;)]

I once looked at a man in his 40s' profile and he proceeded to write me an email telling me that I was obviously a troll, scammer and most likely a man and how dare I approach him, because no way would 21 year old Eurasian girls look at his profile. He made a total arse of himself, as clearly, I'm not a man, and in fact, am a young Eurasian girl.
