For weeks prior to the start of the final season, Master would remind me of the upcoming event.
A year ago, when i moved in, he hadnt seen an episode...in some valiant display of NRE, he would diligently sit down every Wednesday night and watch it.
Brows furrowed and jaw set, he would watch the 5th season unfold with no understanding of the prior seasons...and his heartfelt questions would be summarily shushed unless posed during commercial breaks. His sexual advances would be equally spurned unless, again, it was commercial.
He sat by and watched me text my brother the same message every 10 mins...."da da daaaaaaa" anytime something crazy happened. He let me yell at the TV as if it were the Superbowl....nary a word.
And again, this year, he seemed all about the Lost....until the night it came on. i got the couch all ready and was about to make popcorn, charged my phone in preparation for Jakes text messages....went to collect Master......only to hear....
"Yeah, im kind of over that now."
sniffle.
He decided that being completely confused and frustrated for at least an hour straight, that being shushed by his slave and having her smack his thigh everytime something "special" happened....just wasnt as much fun for him as last year.
im thinking our love light has died...but i dont have time to dwell on the demise of our dynamic...i have a phone to charge and popcorn to make and a munchkin to put to bed so i can plop down and become.....
Lost.
