Just curious if anyone has something affordable they can recommend.  My friend and I are going on a cruise to the Mexican Riveria in less than 2 months, and we're going to need tune-age in our room.

It is possible that your in-room television might have an AV input for such use.

that's very true, I should hit up cruise critic, I'm sure I'm not the first person who wanted to do this.  Those speakers look REALLY cool, and are right on budget.  It's just so hard to judge from ppls reviews on sites like amazon, 10 people say it's the best thing ever, 10 others say it's terrible, so I appreciate your input!! :)

When i went to Jamaica last year i got some cheap type speakers it looks like a long tube for i think 20 bucks at best buy.   The sound quality wasn't GREAT but it did in a pinch.  Funny, i don't think i used it as often as i thought i would.  The resort had music in the background on the beach and by the pool and in my room, i was beach front so i got that in my room which was nice.  I think i used it twice in the 10 days i was there for speakers.
