i had tears in my eyes when i read this. What a valuable thing those kids/coaches did, both for themselves as well as their teammate.

Good on the high school kids.....a few adults could learn from them. I am a staunch supporter of inclusion of those with a disability. Great story Holly.[sm=cheering.gif][sm=cheerleader.gif]

Fantastic for all to see and what was done for this young man. He will remember this forever!

Great story, holly. Remember the one from a couple of years ago, again, it was high school basketball, they let the team manager suit up, and I'll be damned if he didn't hit 6 or 7 three-pointers! Made me tear up, errr, I mean, it made my sinuses act up!

Yeah. Even an asshole like me likes stories like that.

I like the one where the football team (can't remember what age grouping...maybe peewee) ran a special play where the defenders 'somehow' couldn't block the running back who was 'special' and he scored a touchdown for his team.

And then there was the one where the little league team let a kid bat and the other team simply couldn't come up with the ground ball he hit, which resulted in a home run.

All good stories.

And apparently the boy can play! Two 3 pointers? Good for him. Believe it or not, that kind of thing happens more often than most of us realize. Sadly, the story doesn't make the news often enough. I would much rather cry joyfully from dozens of those kinds of stories than the ones where kids are beating each other up for stupid reasons.
