It was an eatery that I don't frequent, and pretty much all the munches that I attend to this day are like that. All the advice you've gotten here so far OP, is great advice. Just like stage fright, once you go through with it, it won't be such a problem. I would say if it is so local and intimate that you can't go in there without your vanilla friends knowing about it, then head out further. Good luck!
