Anyone know what that RSS- seen above means? I have never seen it before

ownedgirlie -> RE: RSS<- what is this (3/20/2006 2:16:39 PM)

When i click on it, it brings me to a summary of all the posts i have viewed....or so it seems.  When i did a search on my hard drive of RSS, it brought me to my temporary internet files, which showed the same viewed posts.  If you don't want this stuff sitting on your hard drive, i'd suggest deleting temporary internet files.

i have no clue what it is or why it showed up.  Anyone from CM?  Can you reply?

It is a link to an xml file of (I believe) the most recently answered posts.

Sensualips -> RE: RSS<- what is this (3/21/2006 1:23:49 PM)

Whewn you see that symbol anywhere it means you can generate a code that will put content fromt he site you are currently viewing onto your site or blog.  A popular example would be the Yahoo 360. If you use that you will see a place to insert news feeds of your choice.  RSS is basically like a news feed -- for this the news is content generated by the collarme users.

champagnewishes -> RE: RSS<- what is this (3/21/2006 4:21:30 PM)

Sensualips is correct.  Most of the journal sites are RSS now and can be inserted into your personal web pages.  Rather than posting a link to your journal, you can receive your latest blog directly on your web page.
