I can't say I like to be smothered but I LOVE having a hand over my mouth when I get a little loud. ONLY when I'm getting loud..of course this results in my getting even louder, lol

I get his hand over my mouth pretty frequently. I guess I'm pretty loud and he tends to be wary of attracting unwanted attention. Sometimes he uses a gag but if we're somewhere and I don't have the gag with he'll use his hand instead. I like the hand better...especially if its used in a forceful way. *Edited to add: Sorry sweetsub for your awful experience. I'm sure I'd hate hand gagging too if it was unconsensual. I can see where this particular act would trigger bad memories of certain types of things. Hugs...

Handgagging my first bottom, along with pinning her wrists over her head while giving her the kind of workover only a 17 year old can provide, was my first official act of kink. Unless what had gone on between my ears for the previous 13 years counts.....I still frequently use whichever hand isn't occupied elsewhere.I like the sound, I like the control....... sweetsub1957 : despite what I say I also get it that, like many things, my kink isn't everyone else's. I never enjoy hearing of people's bad experinces in WIITWD which sticl with them..............

If you are talking about breath control I love it, but use it very carefully. Palm of hand over her mouth and either fingers pinching her nose or soft flesh of palm between thumb and forefinger closing off the nostrils. This allows me to quickly release her enough to regain her breath. I have never caused anyone to pass out from this due to the risk involved.

I like doing it to others, I like having it done to me. At least with the person I've been playing with, there is a very obvious indication based on her movements that she is moving from "rather wants some air" to "really really needs to get some air in the next couple seconds". It's not the sort of thing I really want to take chances with either, so I tend to error on the side of caution here. As should everyone.

Just be aware not to close her nose too..or not to long at least.

I prefer suffocation to strangulation because its far easier to monitor and far less likely to do long term damage. When I am doing the suffocating I always hold my own breath. I never hold someones breath longer than I can hold my own. Another technique is to pinch the nose and put your mouth over theirs. Allow them to breath your breaths (like underwater breathing) Although I have done suffocation techniques on people for years, I never thought I would allow anyone to do it to me. Like you sweetsub, I have past traumatic experience and so needed to tread very cautiously and slowly into this. Being able to do it has enabled me to rid myself of my past terror.
